The Bengals Super Bowl appearing team had a below average defense. Ranked 17th in points, 18th in yards, 26th in passing yards.

The O-line was horrible/injured. Burrows was sacked 51 times. Yes, 51 times.
They were 23rd in rushing yards.

Come on man.
And a stellar DLine. Hendrickson, Hubbard, and Hill battered Mahomes relentlessly to get to the super bowl. D got them there.

And then the next week Burrows was sacked 7 times.

I see your point but I don't think it is enough to entirely refute the notion that Burrow somehow had a great team, or even a better than average team. There were major problems on that team that the QB, with help from the d-line had to overcome.

There are legit Cowboys fans here who don't hate Dak, but are very concerned and disgusted with his play at times and rightfully so.

BUT...... There are only two types of people claiming to be Cowboys fans that HATE Dak.

1. People with low IQs, who come here pretending to be Cowboys fans but are really Eagles and Commanders fans. We definitely know atleast two of the cowards I'm talking about that lurk here.

2. Then there's that loser, missing teeth and dirty mullet, punk *** crowd, of Dak haters who were raised by parents and grandparents that came from the Jim Crow era generation who just hate Dak for the same reasons they hated Doug Williams, Hank Aaron, Ali, and Jesse Owens.

(These specific types of losers are actually fun to beat up on for kicks) LOOOOOOL!!

He's good, he plays great sometimes, but he's not elite...although he's paid like he's elite...

Plenty of teams with much worse options, but also plenty with better options...definitely better than the average but not much better
It's hilarious to point at what Dak makes. He earned it according to the scale used to pay other quarterbacks. His production as a starter dictated his pay, just like other non-elite quarterbacks.

Other than Mahomes who IS elite..... name me other quarterbacks who are making elite max-dollars that are playing elite.

My expectations changed once he signed that ridiculous contract. He's making generational wealth while ~50% of Americans are living paycheck-to-paycheck. He's getting paid like he's the man, so he better start BEING the man. I, personally, can't wait to move on, because he's clearly not that dude. This is what you get when you refuse to invest a 1st round pick in a QB.
Lol, like the Jets?

17th in post is not "below average". They gave up 22 points a game. In comparison the Cowboys and 49ers gave up 21 points....nobody said they were "below average".

And Joe Mixon was 3rd in the league in rushing and had 13 touchdowns in '21.

You can try to maniuplate others but you can't fool me. The Bengals had a bad offensive line. But their skilled players were some of the best in the league. They literally have the best receiving group in the league.

Will anything this guy write change anyone's opinion?

Troy Aikman nailed it when he was asked is Dallas is a good sports town. His reply "Dallas is a good winner's town".

Many fans are "show me the jewelry" or get someone else.

Remember Steve Young in the SB yelling "someone get this monkey off my back" after it was apparent they would win big? Montana was his monkey.

Danny White had a monkey too and he was a hell of a better QB than Romo or Prescott but he failed to deliver. But he almost got there three times.

Prescott doesn't have a monkey because Romo accomplished nothing but he's got this huge gorilla called "Expectations" and even though the Cowboys haven't sniffed a NFCCG in over two decades, he will get left holding the bag with no presents in it should he not get to a SB. And I think he has to win it, just getting there isn't good enough for a lot of entitled fans.

I used to sell Romo by pointing out what we had between Aikman and him but that really never worked anymore than saying the Cowboys could have one of these bottom tier QB's instead of Prescott.

It is not about those QB's it's why can't we have a Mahomes, Burrow, Brady, Rodgers, Brees because we are so deserving. Many of us are like the man that stays married but constantly complains about how bad a wife he has instead of divorcing her and finding another.

No one makes a fan stay a fan of a team. If I disliked Prescott as much as some of you say you do, I wouldn't watch this team. I can get my masochistic fix elsewhere.
Aikman nailed it when he went to Italy.

He’s not a Super Bowl QB. So why waste more time? I’d draft someone in the first round next year and drop Dak in 2025 barring a championship in the interim.

He also had his worst season as a pro last year. Criticism is appropriate at this point. I’m holding out a sliver of hope that he can drive the bus to a championship game but it’s sorta naive to expect it considering the trajectory.
He's not a Nick Foles.

This looks like the outdoor area at a Junior High with the infatuated negatives.

You go, Dak...now get us to the Super Bowl. There the team will take over. GO COWBOYS! :starspin:

It's not as easy as telling one man to "get us to the superbowl"

If it was that easy, why has Aaron Rodgers, as great as he's been, only got his team to the same amount of Superbowls/wins as Trent Dilpher and Nick Foles??

One!!

That's become a big problem because overpaying a QB is now defeating the idea of a salary cap.

I'm still carrying a Cowboys grudge against him to go ahead and say congratulations for winning it all. Ain't easy is it?

Sure....sure....sure. Do you still expect the wife to make savings and provide restaurant meals on what you give her?

This is spot on Coach. Dallas is a winners town. We pushed Dandy Don to early retirement , benched our first SB qb in Morton and unappreciated Danny Boy .

We lucked out hitting on both Romo and Prescott as neither were intended to be starters . Sometimes it’s just not in the cards for everyone to win championships .
The Rangers have been stacking championships. Do they have a soccer team?
