True. Chase might be the best WR in the NFL. He and Higgins are both #1 WRs, and Boyd is a top tier slot WR. Mixon is top 5 at RB, and Hurst is a quality TE as well as a good blocker. Bengals are basically stacked, w/ their bogey being the crap OL.

I personally wouldn't be in he habit of paying jags elite money with no way out of the contract but not my decision. Also wouldn't have paid Dlaw, Jaylon smith or zeke but they did cause winning a SB isn't their goal and signing these guys aligns with their priorities.

Both could have easily never been starters for lack of opportunity.

Draft mobile QBs. Run them, giving them an extra dimension that veterans with huge dead money lack. Spend that 15-20% of your cap elsewhere.

If you hit on a real QB, now you have a real team around them.

Dak had a historic rookie season. But it turned out he's not a historic QB, just a good one who landed in the driver's seat of a dominant run game. For a year.

With a real team around him, a decent QB can look great.

Go and get a GM job and see how your theory works out.

Hell in his draft class there are some the next 2 dont seem to be NFL QB's yet(Lance hasnt realy played)...dating well back in the history of the draft when 3 QB's are taken there has been 1 who stays in the NFL(not even great most of the time) and the other 2 are never heard from after year 3.

Well said, Mahomes is special when compared to most QB's in the league right now because he extends the play probably better than anyone playing now, Kelce uses that better than any TE/WR in the league now. No QB "Lifts" a team onto thier shoulders to win.. its impossible for thier to be a great pass play involving 1 person..lol
