It worked for the Rams but in hindsight was it the QB? Maybe but certainly not JUST the QB as we saw last year when the other 4 all pros they brought in didnt play... but yeah if the Cowboys could sell 5 bad years for one SB I'm probably ok with that. Has it worked for the Eagles yet? Sure they have gotten farther than we have but is the goal getting there and losing? Like many other SB losing team of the past there is a good chance they wont be back.
The Rams O Line just about got away with it during the Superbowl year. They were like wallpaper last season as was the Bills' O line whilst Prescott played behind a very good O line again. Hugely overlooked by a lot of fans. Not a season to judge Stafford on or Allen.

We have seen Prescott play behind a bad o line for a game or two never am entire season yer always gets a pass. Was he sacked 5 or 6 times in a game by the same player?

I was a big fan of Beasley. Somebody here pointed out to me that he was only averaging about 35yds a game. Not sure which year that was, but it surprised the heck out of me. He sure had a great knack for moving the chains.
Probably a good win percentage added from Beasley.

He's good, he plays great sometimes, but he's not elite...although he's paid like he's elite...

Plenty of teams with much worse options, but also plenty with better options...definitely better than the average but not much better
Hes 10th and will be anywhere from 13th to 15th by next off-season.

Using your criteria, that means that up to 47% of NFL QBs are paid as if they are “elite”.

Guys like Daniel Jones, Wilson, Kyler, Tua. Maybe even Kirk, are all “more elite” than Dak if you consider him to be the worst of the “elite paid” QBs.

Is Dak not at least in the upper 47% of QBs?

People need to understand that the QB market isn’t really set by being “elite”. It’s set by being “good” and having your deal come up at the right time.

My expectations changed once he signed that ridiculous contract. He's making generational wealth while ~50% of Americans are living paycheck-to-paycheck. He's getting paid like he's the man, so he better start BEING the man. I, personally, can't wait to move on, because he's clearly not that dude. This is what you get when you refuse to invest a 1st round pick in a QB.
So, you have an issue with pretty much every professional athlete.

Got it.

Sure, but Brady also has Belichick. Dak had Garrett for the first half of his career. Massive difference in coaching.
I'm not at all sure that's right. Belichick hasn't done so well since Brady left and Belichick was mostly a
defensive mind. I do agree with you that Garrett did Dak no favors but, you have to fix blame on the FO for
selecting a 4th round pick to be a franchise QB with limited skills.

I think he's showed excellent skills, and I think a lot of teams wish they took him. As for Belichick, sometimes, it's QB and coach dependent. Like with Elway and Shannahan, Aikman and Jimmy, Staubach and Landry, Mahomes and Reid, and others. I think the coach and QB combo matters. I like the way the Dak Mike McCarthy combo seems to be trending. I think it's a shame that Jerry took this long for Dak to have a competent coach. I don't blame the FO for taking Dak or making him the starter. I blame the FO for keeping Garrett as long as they did. There were quality coaches available from 2016-2019. Once it became clear DK was starting-caliber, the FO should have given him the best available coach. Not Garrett, and certainly not an inexperienced OC as long as they did. That's where they failed Dak imo.

No coach in history could have helped Dak be anything more than a midling non-descript quarterback.

Is that why Jason Garrett hasn't coached again, aside from a two year stint as Giants OC? I think a coach like Reid, Sean McVay, maybe Mike now that he has no Moore, and the like can get a lot more out of Dak than Garrett did. It's a shame Dak didn't get a chance to be coached by Parcells early on.

What has Dak done for the Cowboys in his seven years as QB or ever for that matter. He has not been to a championship game or a SB for that matter. He sounds like another
Romo to me. Just another Jag playing for big money in the NFL. If you want to glorify NFL QB's look at Mahomes, Brady, Rogers, or Burrow. Now those are actual winning QB's.
Right. And they are fairly easy to get. We should pursue one of them today, but we’re to lazy or don’t want to win.

I feel like they are just trying to anger fans like you by not getting one of the top 4 QB’s…maybe it’s time to move on.
