Who is the highest paid player on the team?
Compare daks pay to Parsons, now and even after he gets paid.
nearly every top 12 qb are the highest paid on the team, its called the NFL.. dak was also ROTY and had to earn his money the same pay.. nice try at that comp but plenty of expiated all over the nfl that qbs aren't the top player but the top paid. the top 5 highest paid qbs not named dak missed the playoffs last year.. ironic huh?

so let me get this straight,

you rather have worse player a rookie or some Spare part qb making less then parsons and that solves the problem. lol we should cut dak let Rush start and that's a guaranteed sb because the qb makes less then parsons? that ONE of the most cant say the word statement ive ever heard.

you remember when rookies got paid ton and players like Sam Bradford 50mil guaranteed, dude made over 100mil and didn't have to prove a thing. Daks vet on his 3rd deal coming an parsons a rookie ,thats just part of the business side of football. most top 12 qb will make more than any other player on the team FACT is Daniel jones, kirk cousins, Murray, Watson , are the best players on their teams..never mind its rhetorical. Aaron Donald makes 20mil less then Stafford, sorry but we all know thats also lopsided. how much did wentz make the last few years while swapping teams left and right??

the league market had mandated the qb position the toughest to fill and the highest paid position in the NFL.

Lastly show me where MP single handedly can win game by himself, its a team game. wasn't he part of the rush d that collapsed midseason? blew 2 leads, gave up 200 plus yards rushing a few games? didnt Deebo Samual's start 2021 playoff game gashing that d for 10YPC, where was parsons. oh wait excuse coming. nope its team game. qbs cant be blamed anymore then say a CB who up for 120,mil payday not finishing a hit on kittles or catching that INT all led to a loss. did dak give up 273 to the rams, 14 penalties to the 9ers

NOPE

good try flat terrible statement, period.

What I always see are people talking about QBs like they all play on the exact same team. A lot of those crap QBs we've had were also on crap teams. No way Dak is not having any losing seasons if he played on the 2000 to 2002 Cowboys.

I also never thought Dak was as good as Romo. But Dak was never as reckless with the ball. Last year he shared that part with Tony, just not his passing skills.
Romo was a gambler with uncanny pocket presence. He always needed to learn the hard way and his offensive often allowed him to take crushing sacks.

Last two seasons:
Dak 19-9
Rush 5-1

Overall the Dak love smacks of insulting the rest of the team. Dak isn't dragging the team to victories. This is a very good team outside of the QB. Let's be honest, Rush is a pretty bad NFL QB. No mobility and a poor arm yet the team has consistently won with him.

IMO, there is a small minority of fans that think that Dak is terrible and a small minority who think he is elite. Most people are in the middle and have him around the 10th best NFL QB. The debate is if having the 10th best QB in the NFL is good enough or if he is just always going to let the team down when faced with the truly elite QB's.

Thats not what was said ..... and not what I addressed.

Moving goalposts to try and "win" a point looks ********.

Dak is the 11th highest paid QB in the league ......... fact.

Yeah, Dez would have better numbers if paired with a top 5 all time QB. That you're using Rodgers are your counter example proves my point.

I didn't say Dunbar or Escobar were good with Romo, only that Romo got production out of them. Which was the point. Not that good. Still productive with Romo.
That's what I mean. I don't recall Escobar or Dunbar ever being productive lol. Especially Escobar.

Dez would've had better numbers with Matthew Stafford and he sucks. Its not a Romo vs Aaron Rodgers type thing. I never felt like they took advantage of what Dez was in the prime of his career. He could've done more despite already being a great talent.

Maybe Free agency. Maybe the draft.

Recall that Dak had a very good season as a rookie. If the team hadn't been buried in older players and their cap overhang, maybe we could have had enough of a team to get over the hump with Dak *in his rookie contract*.
I never felt like salaries tied up to veterans stopped us from contending. It hasnt' stopped anyone. Paying Carson Wentz never stopped the Eagles. There are those who know how to manage the cap and those that don't. And for the longest the Cowboys idea of managing the cap is praying they take a hometown discount to play for the "Cowboys" and it never works. Come to grips you will overpay and figure out how to make the salary work. As much as I think Howie Roseman is overrated I can't take that from him. He knows how to manipulate the cap.

Some NFL fans would love to go 12-5.
SOME fans act like 12-5 stinks.
Personally I'd love to see a Cowboys Super Bowl as well, but I'm not going to cry over 12-5!
I don't understand it. I get we were out of the playoffs earlier than we had hoped but how can not people think we can build on last season and get better? It just makes no sense to me.

12-5 doesn't stink but when you consistently have good regular season records and then get bounced early in the playoffs it really makes the regular season feel mensingless. For me, i just have lost interest in the regular season once it becomes apparent the Cowboys are likely to make the playoffs bc all I worry about is them doing the same thing again.

I’m not crying over 12-5. There comes a time when you gotta go beyond that. Imagine if any of the championship teams just had some nice 12-5 seasons with nothing beyond it. Kinda takes away from the next step. Windows don’t stay open very long.

They don’t but it’s a journey. We were the 3rd best team in the NFC. I feel like we’ve closed the game after our offseason.

I don't know about that, I agree his salary is a problem but his skill level is at the bare minimum (if that) so equal or better is the goal in my mind, and if it's equal then the salary should be adjusted downward.
Worse QBs have won a SB, and a young cheap guy can be run, increasing his on the field value.

Life is about tradeoffs. We can still have a net better team with a much cheaper QB who isn't that much less of a QB than Dak.
