actually i hadnt even thought about it....theres some theaters actually showin it the 17th so I kinda figured thatd be the time where everybody is campin out for tix....but I might actually look into buyin mine online tonight or tomorrow now that you mentioned it.......

Yeah I can't really be excited, the franchise is dead for me after those last horrid Star Wars movies. And to be real I don't like JJ Abrams work especially on the Star Trek movies it kinda kills anything with lore.

Agree. The only movie that Abrams has ever done that I liked was Super 8. I walked out of Star Trek 3/4 through the first movie, it was awful. No doubt I'll be heading out to see this one, but I'm prepared to be disappointed. I'm more pumped to see The Revenant than this one, but hope JJ proves me wrong.

Actually I think Star Wars being Star Wars stops that from happening, Star Trek is just not as good especially when you rehash khan story.

I don't think the s will disappoint.

I predict:

2 "oh that was cool" moments
1 reveal "whoah"

You may be right. Those two characters alone ruined the prequels for me.

You don't have to like Star Trek, but the fact that Abrams was able to make two Star Trek films that satisfied a lot of rabid Trek fans should tell you Star Wars is in good hands.

Abrams is fantastic behind the camera, no one should be worried about the shots in this film. Kasdan is also back and helping with the writing, the expectations are rightfully high.

I can't remember who... but someone said that It had no chance of such, and wouldn't pass the most recent "Avengers"....

all of that seems in the rearview now.... It be very surprised if didn't break all sorts of records.
