Before last year Schultz got huge target numbers and most off designed plays
I think MM wants to get back to spreading the ball around, not trying to force it to anyone so I expect more TE production
I like Ferguson but I don’t know if he’s set for a breakout season or just a progression as he learns the position better
Not sure what to expect. Not thecsame offensive style mike is used too so we will see how its changed and what plays he calls.

He named 3 out of the 50+ NFL tight ends that attended. It’s not empty praise.
Many of them veterans. He was asked specifically about young players just starting in the league.

Means nothing.

You’ve got a perfectly capable starter making peanuts for three more seasons but want to use #26 on another TE…why
Because I'd like a TE who can get down the seams without Uber.

If we do not address a TE vet we are in trouble....Dak needs his blankie, and right now we don't have one lol

Funny when Schultz went out Fergs and Hendy finally got the ball. Remember the 9 route down the sideline to Hender for the TD? Never to be seen again…Moore is gone now!

About the draft, Kincaid reminds me a lot of Kelce.

I’m a firm believer in both of our second year guys. Pick up another mid round draft body and let’s roll!

Really like the upside of both Ferguson and Hendershot, both could become very good. In the draft, really like Darnel Washington, great blocker, soft hands, does need to understand the pro game but sure looks a lot like Gronk did coming out of college. Those three give us a great TE corp.

So a fourth round blocking TE in Ferguson and an undrafted TE in Pendershot, oh I think I'm paying attention, if you think that's putting resource's into the position, then I think you're not paying attention.
now you are dealing with a different question.

Im telling you that the starting TE is on the team. You call ferguson a "Blocking," TE. Once again... do you watch the games?

Yeah, I watched Shultz run 5 yard outs, and ten Yard turnarounds, he's average at best, nothing special...Now Ferguson who has what 19 catches who was primarily a blocking TE in college... It's amazing that if Dallas spent a 4th and signed an undrafted free agent on wide receivers there would be an uproar but it's a TE so were fine.....in a league where TE's can be a coverage nightmare, were sitting pat on two high floor development TE's at best guys.....They aren't difference makers, this draft has numerous high end TE's, go get one and help out this offense and Dak!!!

Give him? Lol

only guy blindly given anything in Dallas is Zeke and he’s gone. You have to get open and earn the trust of your qb.
Zeke Derangement Syndrome.

He's gone....you can get him out of your head now. Might have to pay a professional.

Although it would be funny to resign!

I think if we pick up another good RB with catching/long play ability you are absolutely right.

imo he is better than Schultz in every aspect of being a TE.

Thats because in a league of 32 teams, there are only 4-5 TEs that make huge impacts week to week. There arent many.

Do you think that maybe, just maybe, if Ferguson was the full time guy that he could produce 65-70 catches and 8-10 Tds? Did you see him hurdle over a defender then barrel over the next guy downfield trying to tackle him?

Obviously the coaches see stuff EVERYDAY in addition to the plan from DAY ONE being Ferguson take over THIS SEASON.

He flashed whenever he had the ball in his hands last year. Turned dumpoffs into big plays. He’s a YAC threat at the TE position.

Travis Kelce was asked about TE’s that remind him of himself back in Feb. He singled out Jake Ferguson as a guy he’s excited to watch in the future.

TE isn’t a need.
Odds are he is a scrub.

Maybe it works out though.
