Fasano >>>>>>> all of them
Fasano had a 12-year, NFL career. By any measure, that's a quality pick
Fasano >>>>>>> all of them
Bro, almost all 9 of our draft picks (2022) are going to be very good players, but I really like...Them and Jalen Tolbert. Those are the three solid picks to me.
He's the best TE we've had here since Eric Bjornson.
Yea, I think we had an issue last year with these rounds picks signing.Something about draft salary slotting I think. 3rd and 4th rounders are often the last to sign.
Maybe after he's had a decade of Pro Bowl material production. He's gotta learn the Witten 4 yard Stop, Catch, Drop and Roll......
The Cowboys selected Wisconsin TE Jake Ferguson with the 129th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Ferguson was a factor in the Badger offense all four seasons, catching 145 passes for 1,168 yards and 13 touchdowns in his college career. Last season, he caught 46 passes for 450 yards and three touchdowns, earning First-team All-Big Ten honors.
Furthermore, Ferguson was the leading receiver during Reese’s Senior Bowl. He finished with three receptions for 62 yards and a touchdown in the annual contest.
The off-season has just begun for Dallas, and for now, Ferguson will backup Dalton Schultz in his rookie campaign and compete with Jeremy Sprinkle and Sean McKeon for the TE2 spot.
This past weekend, FanSided NFL Insider Matt Lombardo said Ferguson was a standout during the camp.
“Those around the team said he has a chance to be special,” said Lombardo. The former Badger standout “turned heads with his physicality, and “really solid body control in the passing game.”

They could have saved even more money by letting Schultz walk this year, couldn't they? Not like we would have done even more than we did in FA but hey. Would've been fine having the rook compete with a FA veteran and the rest.
in the second round? no that's not a quality pick. 2nd rounders are expected to be long time starters and contributors with a chance to be great players. sticking around in a back up role on NFL teams bouncing around is not a quality NFL player. its a JAG. anybody can draft a JAG in the second roundFasano had a 12-year, NFL career. you have a crystal ball? can I borrow it to check lottery ticket numbers for tonightBro, almost all 9 of our draft picks (2022) are going to be very good players, but I really like...
OG Tyler Smith
DE Sam Williams
WR Jalen Tolbert
TE Jake Ferguson
NG John Ridgeway
Joe Penny applauds the reference.I just want to see a picture of him with McCarthy at camp so I can caption it Jake and the Fatman.
I agree 100%. three other TEs got tagged this year so the market was dryish. and he is on a tag, one year until we see where we land.FA or draft picks and how the TE class looks next year. and to your point, which I have argued in the past, we lost Cooper, Wilson and losing Schultz would have meant over 60% of our passing game. if cooper and wilson were around, then I would say not tag Schultz and take a chance or take a lesser TE in FA...I think letting Shultz go would be pre mature as we dont have Amari, Wilson and Gallup (5 games at least) , poor Dak - LOL, Moreover Schultz kind of became security blanket for Dak last year. If Jake comes and develop similar understanding with Dak , the next year we can let Schultz walk.
But our offense works best with 2 TE set and Jake can contribute with better blocking that will help the run game or play action passing.

That’s enough for meFrom what I see with him, Ferguson can be a good security blanket type TE. He has very sure hands and can make clutch catches in tight spaces. He isn’t going to break off on any long TD runs, but he wasn’t drafted to.
What he will do is block well and catch what is thrown to him.
He's the best TE we've had here since Eric Bjornson.
So did he suddenly become sudden? That’s why I ignore scouting reports other than times speeds.I remember watching Ferguson in games against Ohio State. I was fine with this pick. Pulling for him, but I pull for all the new players as well.
He will get a year to learn being 2nd or 3rd TE, and it will do him good. Maybe he is a sleeper pick that we need.
Im hoping he becomes what they drafted Escobar to beThat’s enough for me
Do we have a single report of a new player performing poorly?I think we might have a very good player with this kid. Time will tell, but a good early note on him.
And you won't. Not until the preseason games when most of them get outplayed by their opponents. Same every year.Do we have a single report of a new player performing poorly?
