Jamarcus Russell will be a bust in my opinion

Does anyone else think this as well?

My thoughts on this have absolutely nothing to do with him going to the Raiders either.

The guy was just not all that great at LSU. If he was truly the most talented Quarterback in College Football then LSU would have had a National title.

If you watched an LSU game since Russell has been there it always seems like they need someone else at the Quarterback position to spark that Offense. I remember them getting all excited when Perriloux came to town because they thought he'd take over early.

I think hes at best Daunte Culpepper and I dont think a player with a ceiling thats only that high is worth the #1 overall pick.

What do you guys think about Russell?

I think you are dead wrong on a lot of what you are saying. Speaking as someone who has seen practically every LSU game for the last several years, LSU's running game is the reason why they weren't in the national title game this year. Their leading rusher was Jacob Hester, a fullback. They were excited about Perriloux because he just happened to be the #1 rated QB prospect coming out of high school, my local high school as a matter of reference.

Russell isn't as mobile as Culpepper so I think that is a bad comparison. Russell is a pure pocket passer.

Oh and also, not every great college quarterback that is the #1 overall pick wins a national title, just ask Peyton Manning.

vs Auburn: 20-35 - 269 Yards - 0 TD 0 INTs.

Probably the 2 best defenses he saw all year.

Jamarcus just dont lose the game.

I think if you draft Jamarcus Russell you'll set your franchise back 5 years and you'll have a Quarterback that you dont ask to win you the game but just dont lose it.

Why the strong feelings against him? Is there something you saw about him that made him look that bad?

...and Quinn.

I'm not saying Quinn can't play...but I don't think he's ready to start yet. I think he needs the same kind of reigning in that Romo got. The only reason I'm so hard against Quinn (ok there are two): 1 He was declared a great NFL player before he even played his senior year 2 Notre Dame.

Also I think there is a chance Quinn turns into a good player not a great player.
