Washington will prove that he was essentially being held back in Pittsburgh

He was a second round pick, so if he was being held back it's because the team around him, especially quarterback, wasn't good enough for him to produce like a second round pick.

Or he's just another player who was drafted too high and wasn't able to transition from college to the pros.

We'll see, I hope you're right...

if healthy and used right, I see 800(250 rushing,550 receiving) yards from scrimmage in total.50-ish catches and 10 tds. I think he will get like 3 rushing, 7 receiving. Its feasible.

In 2019, he had 735 yards in receiving for the Steelers, so he can definitely be sort of our Wilson this year.

BTW, here are some comments from the Steelers. They surely aren't "glad he's gone."

Maybe we'll get lucky with him like we did with Kearse, but there is a reason why he could only find a one-year, $1.187 million offer. Most of the time in this league, you get what you pay for. I hope that's not the case, but at this point with this team, I'll believe it when I see it. Finding superstar talent at a bargain takes a lot of luck.

There are so many Steelers fans upset that he never got enough reps in Pittsburgh. In fact, almost all of them wanted him to be playing instead of Ray Ray McCloud.

I seriously think he'll play well in our system, and appears to be a "Dak friendly" sort of receiver. At least Tolbert will have to earn his playing time during the season.

I can't wait to see the competition between these two players.

We already know who our #1 and #2 guys are. I suspect the battle for 3-5, maybe 6 is wide open.

In 2018, Broadus and Helman were talking about maybe taking him in round 1 @ pick 19.

If you take him there, he's a bust. But he had that kind of potential coming out of college.

I like him in the slot, too.

Pretty much all of our players are able to play all of the positions at WR.

They didn’t think lower of those other receivers they were all drafted around the area Washington was. They thought highly of Claypool and Diontae. Their ceilings are even higher I think.

What he's done compared to what he's capable of doing is the question. I don't know the answer, so I'll wait and see with high hopes but low expectations.

I think this guy just fits in well with Cee Dee and the rest of the guys, especially Dak. I also think this guy was underrated at Pittsburgh simply because he didn't get enough playing time behind all those receivers.

He's got big play ability and also plays pretty steady. Shifty guy with good hands. Won't have a lot of drops.

Really think he was an underrated pick up, especially when I look at the rest of the guys we drafted.

Washington was a 2nd round pick, afterall.

It's all about being creative. While Gallup is out, these guys have to step up. And I think we find someone to step up out there while Gallup is out. I feel like it'll be Washington, most likely, early on, but Fehoko could come in down the stretch.

As of right now I believe that Pollards' role will be expanding extensively early.

Coming to Dallas is like fresh new grazing grounds, with only a skinny WR2 playing the role of WR1 now.
Hope CD continues to grow and become a true WR1 for this team, but as of now I really believe this team has 3 really solid WR2s when Gallup returns.
Having 3 solid WR2s is not a bad thing.

CD is a 1, agreed, but not the 1 that I would want to build a potential dominating offense around.
Hope that CD is ready to take on that role, but not sure that he can.
