All those practice battles vs Witt has prepared him for this matchup. B Jones will be ready.

Cook and Cobb, but watch out for Geronimo Allison. He has been coming on strong lately. But I think we have the DB's to handle them. They may get their catches and yards, just keep them out of the endzone.

As much as he's been picked on all year, if this is the game Byron finally locks down a TE, all is forgiven.

I agree Packers have been on a roll since he returned. Byron Jones will be on him a lot, hopefully not 100% of the time though, as Jones sneaking out to play center field every now and then (say on dime) could be a sweet wrinkle and make an opportunity for a turnover.

You do realize that he is not the TE guy that he was last season? He is now a full time FS and I feel he has done a great job for the first year at his position.

I don't think it is a coincidence that Carr/Mo have their best seasons. Brown is playing like a first round pick and Wilcox/Church are also playing some of the best ball of their career. We finally have someone manning center field.

Cook is a big part of their offense especially with Nelson being out.

Typically we struggle against good TE's and today will be a test.

Last season, it seemed to be a strength of ours. The only difference is that last season, Jones's full-time job was to cover TE's for the majority of the season. It makes you wonder if they will tinker with anything but I doubt it. Giving up TE throw is part of the "bend, don't break" philosophy. I would much rather Cook have 8 catches than Cobb or Adams have 8 catches because that likely means we have eliminated the big play and if our offense is consistently scoring and we are eliminating the big play, we win.

Tight ends catch a lot of balls in this league. I don't believe we've struggled more than most teams.

There are a bunch of know-nothings on here who have decided to make Jones their whipping boy. There was probably 1 play where he didn't cover a TE, and that's all it takes for them to run with whatever preconceived notion they have.

I like this match-up for us.

Don't see Byron having a problem with Cook's speed. It's the physical guys who typically give Byron problems.

A lot of people are saying Cook will be a big part of the game plan. If that is the case then Byron Jones needs to shut him down.

AR has been leaning on him. He's big and fast. He's apparently learned to catch the ball and run routes reasonably well.

With Mo back that should free BJ up to do what he does to take away the TE...

Last stat I saw said we were the worst in the league against tight ends. Now from the worst in the league to the best in the league may be separate by a few minimal yards or few TD's.

Football Outsiders has us 30th in the league defending against TEs, by far the worst receiver type for us. We have struggled more than most teams. I assume it's mostly because our whole defense is about preventing the big play while allowing things underneath, and TEs mostly work underneath.
