Twitter: Jason Garrett explains Dez Bryant actions

I've only seen that rumor on CZ and I've been on twitter nonstop. If he'd been out partying, odds are that would've been captured by somebody. And even if he did go out with them on Sunday. She's on tour. She wasn't hanging around for long.
The Ticket just did an entire segment on it from that angle.

I think David Moore is on the case, and he's as reliable as they get. Stay tuned.

The rumor floating among DFW media is that Dez spent all that time on a two-day bender with Jay-Z and 50-cent, who were in town. He wasn't afraid of the MRI results. The Cowboys are covering for him.

its okay to cover for this guy because he is "passionate" and people are okay with .500 ball LOL

i know we aren't but dang. JG's accountability is strange. if this is a coverup ( i wouldn't put it past this FO though) than man this is really really nuts and speaks to a larger issue with this culture.

i guess you kind of have to operate like this in the salary cap era unless you are Kubiak or Belichick.

Who handled it publicly? You don't work in this field of sports and are not paid those kind of numbers or count against a salary cap that cripples franchises. It's a moot comparison, and nothing that the average Joe does can compare. They are part of a union that has an agreement with the clubs and the fine I am sure was within the guidelines negotiated within that agreement. What else do people want the team to do? What do you deem appropriate punishment for someone being scared about their health and future of the season? I mean really this is what everyone is crying over? Give me a break

its okay man. im not here to fight. ive explained my point. im here to converse with my cowboyzone bros even if we disagree.

i have a different view point than you all do who are okay with what Dez did and how JG handled it. no need to get upset at a fellow poster about it. but if thats how u choose to handle this thats fine.

ive explained my point which is not so much about the fine or the punishment but how JG handled this and his history of accountability in house or out house or whatever and how its resulted in historic .500 ball.

i cant help you see my point (even if you disagree) but it's there and you are missing it.

obviously these guys are way more professional about this stuff than we are (the coaches) but that doesn't mean we can't critique them like fans always do. its a discussion. we are having it. people are allowed opinions that are different.

i like civil mature discussion and i can concede a point if the rebuttal is strong. to me no matter how you shake this the on field result is .500 ball. if it were different i could care less. winning is a cure all.

Don't cover for him when you can't even contact him, say what it is.

When you do address it, don't say it is because Dez is emotional he did not do the right thing, say it is unacceptable with the kind of culture we are trying to build here.

Let the team know it is unacceptable, it sure seems like some of the players were a little steamed.

Is this one incident a huge deal we will be talking about 2 weeks from now if the Boys are stringing wins together, no.

But if you are going to preach accountability, walk it.

And he likely said this to Dez individually and the team behinds closed doors.

There is absolutely no reason to tell the public simply so you feel better.

One big reason Manziel is out of the NFL right now is the numerous times he was captured partying/drinking on social media. If Dez was partying hardy with celebrities, somebody is getting video or pics. Guaranteed. Since nobody's seen nothin', that's all this is: a rumor.

Thanks to the muddled chain of command created by micro manager Jerry Jones, we have absolutely no idea whete these decisions are coming from.....however, I see Jerry's fingerprints all over this mess.

Kubiak? You putting him in the same sentence or same level as Belichick?

for this instance yes. they've managed to generate consistency above .500 ball in our salary cap parity era. granted belichick has done it for longer.

i understand this might be directed to the owner too.

im of the opinion that only few teams have been able to have a good FO to generate on field success consistently while players are poached by salary cap.

I give the Broncos credit but not Kubes. He hired into a playoff team, a super bowl ready team, a team who was just in the super bowl 2 years prior. I seen him in Houston and it wasn't great. Not bad but not great.

Jason garrett now has a very powerful enemy in the press in dallas it wont end well for him either.
