I'm gonna go on record here and say you love participation trophies. He was "gifted" everything he has is because jerry loved his dad. Who would actually want a QB from princeton who after being cut by the saints couldn't even get a starting job in the World League of American Football. Daddy got jerry to sign him to the practice squad. In his 3rd year removed from college. His brother has a job right now in the scouting department. Provide me an instance where he has done something that you didn't second guess at the end of a game. Shoot the kneel down on the final drive against green bay was his call and ended up costing us the game along with Byron Jones. I can keep firing out examples of poor coaching all you comeback is that's not true with no substance behind your claims.
So, you're argument that he was gifted something isn't related to his HC job at all, where a total of three teams made him HC offers but instead refers to his playing career. And your evidence that it was a gift is that his dad was on the staff, ruling out all possibility that his growing up in a football family with a scout and a head coach for a father played a role in his development as a player. Got it. Yeah, I reject that.
I'm going to go on record her and say that you were wrong about the participation trophy thing. I'm a guy who likes to figure out what's not working and fix *that* as opposed to the guy who'll just randomly start swapping out parts when he's not getting the results he wants even though his wants and his expectations have no necessary reason to correlate. From my experience, that's a better way to get actual trophies.
As for your example v. Green Bay, are you talking about the first down spike on the final drive in the playoff game? Or the incomplete pass to Dez in last year's regular season game? I'm not sure which example you're talking about.
