When have they ever sat Romo other than in preseason or injury when he was the starter?
Usually we are fighting for a playoff spot all the way up to week 17. When we locked in in 2014 Romo sat the 2nd half against the Commanders

That's a double edge sword though WG. If Dak got nicked up during the playoffs and the backup had to come in you wouldn't want Sanchez it would be Romo. I think that would be foolish if Romo hadn't played in a game all year and throw him cold into a playoff game.
Romo has been getting reps with the #1s since he's been declared healthy. I don't think he'll be as rusty as folks seem to think. But alas, I want Dak to get all the snaps he needs. Folks acting like he's the 10-year veteran with injury problems. No, he's still the rookie with only 14 games under his belt. Play the man.

And what game was that? 16, right? Also, if you read the Jerry thread, they're very mindful of not letting down like they did in 2007. They want momentum going into the postseason.

"Romo has to shake the rust off from not playing so long." -Matt Moore :)

You brought Romo drama into a thread that didn't have any. Dak is the starter and he needs experience. He should get all the reps like all other starters unless he's injured.
we have different opinions. It's win or go home in the playoffs and if Romo is needed, I think it's more important to get him some real game-speed action over the next 2 weeks where the outcomes have zero implications for us. Rather he be prepared than rely past practice for the sake of following precedent.

No. Romo's job is not "to be playing some at this point in the season" his job is to be ready to play. And I'm sure he is.

This is a coaching decision.

So, you are "sure" Romo is ready. When was the last time Romo played a regular season game? And, how well did he perform?

Clearly... and much as I'm fond of Romo, this is Dak's show. I'm not even interested in seeing Romo on the field this year. No need to hedge your bets. Play the kid.

Romo IS a 14-year vet who busted his *** to work his way back to being healthy. He's a pro's pro, so he'll be fine.

Yes. I'm sure Romo has been preparing as a backup should. Romo has always been a hard worker and a professional.

You did not answer my question. When was the last time Romo played in a regular season game? And, how well did he perform? Yet, you are sure. On what recent history are you basing your confidence in Romo's ability to come in and play like his old form?

Are you sure? They may not want to start a QB controversy right before the playoffs as they know full well how effectively Romo can run this offense. In others words, if Romo plays, the Lions are going to get eviscerated.

Who's controversy? Fans?

This is a great opportunity to give Romo some playing time in case he is needed in the playoffs.

I get it....Romo is pure perfection and he doesn't need any stinken practice. If needed, just plug him....abracadabra......

Romo is a darn good QB but it just amazes me the selective memory many have of him. I'm gonna go eat snickers now! lol

It would be absolutly ridiculous if Romo did not get in the games the next 2 weeks. Supposedly he's our back up who hasn't had any real game experience in over a year. Besides, he's healthy.....WTH, is Romo royalty? jeeze

I agree. The only reasons to not play him some are bad ones.

Unless any of the starters have some incling of an injury, I'm expecting Garrett to play them. If they are listed on the injury report at all, those guys are the ones that will get breaks.

Jason Garrett: Focus on today, play to win, continue the process. Play your starters just as normal.

Inner Jason Garrett: Stop being a robot, play Romo.

don't worry about my panties! lol

Doubt starters will be playing entire games the next 2 weeks. Yes, some are rookies but including PS, they've played a substantial amount of ball throughout the season.

seriously just tired of the Romo drama....if he's called in the relieve Dak over the next two weeks, it his job to get in there and play......and you'll can go light a candle in your Romo shrines and reminisce of times of past glory

Drama?

C'mon...Dallas is already the top team in the NFC. You want to sing 'Singing in the Rain,' carrying an umbrella and trench coat?

Dallas has done what it has, by playing a bit part to get there? Naw, let' em play and adjust as needed...not micromanaging to suite an argument for the sake of arguing.
