I didn't say Garrett was good at his job, I just said he is responsible for what happens.

I dont hold Garrett responsible for the defense. Nor do I hold him responsible for player acquisition and development. Quite simply, he doesnt do any of that here. Input?.............sure, but its not what he does.

So...I win, as all you got is the same tired line...again, I'll give you another chance tell me how I am wrong? JG is nothing but a puppet, but he was smart enough to know how to get Wade fired and get himself inserted into a job he has no clue how to function at... so maybe that
You win? bahahahahaha!

You're full of contradiction. "Garrett is nothing but a puppet BUT was smart enough to get Wade fired." Which is it?
Lame. What else you got?
Does he chew with his mouth open? Scratch his nuts? What other intelligent insult is next? So deep.
I'm not even a huge JG fan however when some fans have nothing but name calling I find it borderline entertaining.

Hey, he's got some other skills. He can chew gum like a boss and is the best PAT signal caller in the league, and his 2 point conversion signal would make Texas Longhorn fans proud. I think fans are selling Garrett short by simply focusing on clapping and butt slapping. :muttley:

Because that's all they have to use. It would be different if they were to use specific situations such as passing the ball on 1st and goal inside the 5 yard line and settling for a FG.
But idiots are gonna idiot.

LOL... dude, seriously, you think that all his stupidity on the sideline escapes us, simply because we focus on the one thing he generally does without question being his clapping? Good grief your talking 8 going on 9 years now of mediocre half assed attempting to HC this team. I can assure you, not a single misstep in clock management, ZERO half time adjustments, non committal horse crap moving players around to fill a hole and not using them when and where they should be used, or maybe his dire dumbarsed look during the game, almost like he is lost and looking for the trail lout. Yeah we get all his so called strengths, but clapping seems to be what he does best beside blow important games.

It's extremely idiotic to go and on about something that has zero effect on anything, yet you keep trying to drive home the clapping like it matters.
Sad.

Nope, Garrett is NOT responsible for everything. You show AGAIN that you dont understand. THIS time, how it works in the Dallas FO. Garrett is one of the head coaches in the NFL with the LEAST amount of power. He is NOT the CEO as you put it. He is a figurehead puppet that has been stripped even more of his duties as time went on.

But even if he WAS responsible, as you put it. It has NOTHING to do with him developing players. He does NOT develop players. People under him develop the players. So your blanket statement that "he is the head coach so he gets credit for everything" is lazy and inaccurate.

And in case you didnt notice the "overall" results of this team since GArrett has been here have been sub standard. Even when the team was great, we underperformed in the playoffs. So either way your theories are wanton.

So, you believe either Jerry is scheduling and coordinating practices, setting game day rosters, dictating schemes, and doing everything a head coach would otherwise do, or you believe Marinelli and Linehan are doing all these things on their own, independent of Garrett and each other.

Neither scenario makes a bit of sense.

What else doesn't make a bit of sense is your comment about the results. The fact that a coach has sub par results doesn't mean he isn't responsible for the development of players, it just means there are things he isn't doing well.

We get to see what Garrett and the staff is like behind closed doors in 17 more days. I'll see if I can come up with any strengths after watching All or Nothing.

Can Garrett go into Philly or GB or NO in week 17 with a trip to the playoffs on the line? His strengths beside that mean nothing! No one is confident in this situation, specially his team! That’s the glaring weakness that never goes away!

LOL.....scheduling practices? Setting rosters? talking to the media? Throwing the red flag, calling timeouts.

No, those are the EXACT type of things he does. Not much to do with football. The two things he DOES do there that has something to do witih gameday managment...........red flag throwing and timeouts he is absolutely horrid at.

IN playoff games and win or go home games the team comes out flat and we typically fall behind. And the clock management and decision making is horrid. Teams are unprepared and outcoached EVERY time. Same mistakes are repeated over and over again. Garrett is garbage.

No but Garrett can go into Philly against 3rd stringers the final game of the year and eke out a victory. LOL

You see it your way, and the rest of us will see it ours. Hey none my business if your all star eyed over the clapping carrot.

That just adds to the ridiculousness of your posts. Many of us agree Garrett should be let go, and others believe Garrett should be on a short leash, but what they don't agree with is making up idiotic, emotional, irrational excuses to dislike him.

The fact you think that either a person has to be willing to make up the kind of nonsense you do, or he has to be a total Garrett supporter, is just more proof that you are irrational. Rational people don't only see the extremes, while irrational people only look at extremes because it allows them to buy into the nonsense they want to believe.

And, again, the fact you think a coach clapping on the sidelines is somehow significant shows the limitations of your knowledge and ability to think and reason.

There really is no reason to believe Garrett doesn't work hard, or doesn't try to do the best he can, or doesn't have the respect of his players. He just hasn't been a good coach. It's not an emotional issue, or a personal issue like you irrationally think, or an issue with trivial things like clapping hands. It's merely an issue of job effectiveness. Limit it to that, and you have a valid argument, but as long as you continue to fabricate mindless nonsense about insignificant things, you wont.

It'll be interesting to see what all comes out of watching those episodes. One way or another, it's going to be great material for a bunch of the tired discussions around here.

His teams fight for him.

No matter what situation, no matter what the score is, every single one of his teams every single year fights for him to the end. The Cowboys have not given up during his tenure. They scratch and claw until the last second.

Yes it will be. I mean we only have a trailer that's been release so far and I already know Dez head butts Beasley and forgets he isn't wearing his helmet.

That's not as bad as Jared Goff finding out the sun rises in the east on a daily basis and thinking it was such a cool fact he had to go around asking all of his teammates if they knew that. I can't wait for this series. (That was on Hard Knocks). But I've been hoping since the Rams were on it last year that Dallas was the team they were following in 2017.

True, with the exception of the Denver game last year.
