clearing space for Martin's reup
They didn't need to do this to reup Martin though.
clearing space for Martin's reup
Thought this would be his last year. Guess not.
Actually, he could probably be the player he is now for 5 more seasons.
You have to ask?
He can't get down the seams. Can't run a full route tree anymore. Doesn't command any attention down the field.
They didn't need to do this to reup Martin though.
If you ask him, he's going to tell you. And then you're going to have to read it. And then you're going to want to punch yourself in the face, and you will have nobody to blame but yourself for it.
Zack Martin
Yet the offense was extremely effective last year.
Witten moves the chains and will almost always get you some yardage. Personally I don't feel this offense needs or calls for a TE like Rob Gronkowski though I know it wouldn't hurt.
Dak is going to need a veteran to turn to other than Dez so I think it was a smart move on the part of the FO. I mean of the young guys can beat him out that's on them not Witten.
I loved what happened after we watched itNot a damn man on this earth that saw that with their lady that didn't secretly love it. I don't care. Facts.
He makes the offense easier to defend.
Irrelevant to what I said. You asked how he limits the offense. Something everyone should already know. I answered. He can't run. He can't stretch the defense. He makes the offense easier to defend.
I'm looking for someone who can do all that and threaten teams down the field. An upgrade from a very average declining player.
From what i've read Revis intentionally put on weight. And that he realizes the mistake and he's slimming down.Guys who love football don't show up to camp 20 pounds overweight like Revis did last year.
Revis loves money more than he loves football. Unless he's offered more than $10M per year, I don't think he comes back. He can make $6M just sitting on the couch.
He has alluded to this being his last year.
Well you yourself said he limits the offense. I don't think the offense looked too limited last year and if it was I don't think it was Jason Witten doing the limiting.
I'm sure they extend Zack Martin but they don't need 15 Million in current year money to do that. When they extended Travis Frederick he still only had a 2016 cap hit of 2.2 Million and a 2017 cap hit of 4.5 Million. Zack Martin without an extension actually had a bigger cap hit last year than Frederick did after his big extension.
Well you yourself said he limits the offense. I don't think the offense looked too limited last year and if it was I don't think it was Jason Witten doing the limiting.
If he continues beat out the other TEs on the roster that's on them.
And I'd argue that he's still pretty good. Guess we'll have to agree to disagree.
What if....get this...he loves football?
