What would Emmitt do?
I would sign everyone except him. If he ain’t there week 1 then pull the offer. It’s his 4th year of the rookie deal. He is a no show then let him sit at home. I wonder how the rest of the league will feel towards him knowing he didn’t play his 4th year but took the money. I know how Cowboys fans will feel about him. He's counting on one thing, that the Cowboys can't win without him. What I mean by that is, a championship. I think Dallas is a 10-6 team without him because of their defense. But I highly doubt they'll be in the running to win it all by season's end.
Someone can take his place and even do a good job. But no one we have now is going to replace him. With him I think Dallas is a 12-4 team this year. That said, I do not believe he will be there in week 1. I think Dak and maybe Cooper will get contracts first.
Prime example of internet arguments gone to absurdity. But he supposedly has me on ignore so he won't see this! You have gone done it. You are going to make me repeat myself. Calm your butt down!
Just like the previous 3 seasons with Zeke, having him active on the roster guarantees nothing. He's not the ticket to anywhere. The Cowboys are better off without that distraction around. He's push the Jones boys too far and will now miss the season while the Cowboys win a SB without him. Being on the, "did not report" list, he won't even get a ring.
Disgraced he'll probably end up being traded in the 2020 off-season and accept that trade with no new contract because he has no choice unless he wants to risk missing a second year in a row of playing football.
Glazer knows as much as we do I could have told you OBJ was #Gone !Glazer was ridiculed and spat on when he said 100% guarantee OBJ would traded traded this offseason and the Giants GM basically said he’s a fraud and it isn’t happening.
And now, Jay Glazer’s word is law.
Amen Glazer is a Fool who thinks he knows things others don't as I have said he does not know anymore then our local people !He thinks so based on ZERO actual inside knowledge of the situation. He's literally guessing with nothing to support his guess. So anything passes for journalism these days.
If Zeke is not careful he could be sent packing !Zeke has to realize that 1) A successful debut for Pollard could make his contract situation worse, and 2) Any issue with the NFL, justified or not, will mean his playing days are done. No team will risk giving him more than what we've offered. Every summer there is something with him, I can't give him the benefit of the doubt. People generally continue to run into problems (Pacman Jones, Greg Hardy, David Irving, etc)
Hold out till the 3rd game of the yearWhat would Emmitt do?
whO?Prime example of internet arguments gone to absurdity. But he supposedly has me on ignore so he won't see this!
And he didn't bother to even hint at using any of those contacts to come to his conclusion did he? Its an opinion piece until he says otherwise.
Behind the scenes, Dallas has still contended all along with that they believe he will be there for Week One against the Giants.
This is pretty sad. Here is the quote:
He is saying what Dallas leadership is saying behind the scenes. This should not be hard.
Cool hes regurgitated what's been said over and over. I guess "behind the scenes" is now a source. Its cool bro, you like Glazer I get it.
You apparently do not understand what behind the scenes means, I get it. He is saying what the Joneses say off the record.
It has nothing to do with like and everything with understanding that Glazer has contacts in the Cowboys front office.
Sure bro, he sat down with Jerry and was told all our secrets lol. Gullible much?
Zeke is already "signed".
It would be a horrid precedent to extend him with TWO years left on his contract considering his off field problems, including raping a girl back in college, assaulting a guy in Vegas, driving a highly dangerous speed on a local tollway, entertaining the use of illegal drugs, exposing a woman's intimate body parts in public, countless other incidents, and an overall cancerous attitude to life and the team.
At this point I'd rather stick with Pollard and strike a trade. Maybe the Chiefs will take him since they kept Tyreek Hill despite the fact he brutally beat up his child and its mother. Scumbags.
I never said that. I just said that he has had conversations with Cowboys leadership off the record. From the framing of the quote it seems that it is a culmination of many conversation with more than one person. He gives his take from said conversations.
We know he has that type of access and he has been right on many things. I'm not going to discount it out of hand certainly not for public posturing.
I have no doubt he has contacts and has heard a variety of things since this began. I'm speculating that the timing of his announcement is BS and I am doubtful he's received any NEW intell contributing towards his theory. In fact all of the recent events have made his declaration more contrarian than anything else, and is an excellent way to get clicks, which is exactly what I think he's doing here. I hope Im wrong.
By recent events you mean public posturing from Jones. Again, you do not understand the significance of behind the scenes as opposed to public comments.
Reese and the Giants called him out as false directly about OBJ and we know how that turned out.
And you don't act like you hope you are wrong given your confirmation bias.
JoekingwhO?
Jerry is right on this. If he gives in to Zeke every player wanting a deal is going to pull this stunt.
