I am curious if anyone has watched his isolated play in game 1. It seems liked he did OK from the game telecast.

I also noticed they subbed Durant in some on 3rd down. Was that the primary rotation? Smith on 1st and 2nd down and Durant on 3rd down?

Durant only played 2 snaps.

if we're going with the "no evidende at all" then why are you so certain what happened?

it was a clear fumble with a clear recovery, and Garrett was standing there ready to throw the flag, had a conversation with the ref and didn't. what do you suggest happened?

and the box score is really irrelevant since it wasn't ruled a fumble on the field.

To me it was ruled a fumble on the field because the Ref spotted the ball at the recovery point, not the forward progress point. If the ref on the sideline was not the same ref as the one who spotted it, I think he misunderstood what the ref who spotted the ball had ruled and gave Garrett incorrect information. There is no possible way the ball was ruled dead and even so a clear recovery overcomes that. Not a goof by Garrett but he should have thrown it for clarification.

I agree he played much more than the boys let on before the game, I believe on radio I heard at most he would play half the snaps, that clearly was not the case not sure if that had to do with Durant or how well Smith was playing. The thing about his injury is that the next day will provide lots of feedback and hopefully he can push through that pain and be available on thursday against the Broncos.
Jaylon played 64% of the defensive snaps (36 snaps). In many games 36 would have been about half.

He was better than a seasoned Hitchens, that's for sure. Give him time to slow things down in his head, and he'll be a monster.
This is not true. He showed more athletic ability, but he was not better than Hitchens last night.

I was thinking he was out there every time I looked, that is just from first glance. He was much better than I expected last night, along with Sean Lee. Also L Collins has my approval what a great game.

Garrett talked about the play in his PC. Giants fumbled but it was ruled that the Giants recovered the fumble.

Garrett was talking to the ref about challenging. Ref told him the Giants recovered and the chances of the call being overturned virtually nil.

Garrett did the right thing.

Thank you sir..this helps a lot

I still think there was a clear recovery..but at least this argument makes some frickin sense..the play being blown dead made none

They basically had Heath play Nickel LB on some snaps with Frazier replacing Heath at Safety.
