we are not talking about a high ankle sprain
have any you seen people with nerve damage?
i have
it is not 1 week you hurt then next you look a bit better and so on
person cannot walk, not at all
then gradually over weeks maybe months of work and therapy they walk with a cane or a brace
later they keep working just to return as close as they can to just normal

we talking about a pro football player, and he still wears a brace
that is fact that he isnt healed 100%
but do you believe this dude will keep grinding till he throws that brace in the locker
because then he is recovered the nerve damage and strength

i believe that day will come
so do many on this forum
but none of us know when
only that he is the perfect personality to do it. you wont stop him not trolling or negative words
we going to enjoy this story, today was just another small victory on this long hard road to recover
hes already made unbelievable steps
he looks much much better playing 10 snaps but even today when Lee was hurt he had to stay in
not good

Not sure of the purpose of your post. I was highly complimentary of Jaylon’s play today, and by no means did I imply I was down on him. I happen to think that, for the time being, he’s not capable of playing 60 snaps a game. There are obvious limits to what he can do - cut and change directions, for example - and playing him every snap exposes his vulnerabilities. As time passes those “limits” will start to disappear, and his body will catch up to his instincts, which is what made him great at ND.

I get all kinds of pissed off at folks who say “Jaylon sucks”. No! He just has limits right now.

Such sad haters as usual. I don't even know why I'm getting drawn in...

Let's not recognize the great fill and the huge solo stop on the 5 yard line just before the half. If San Fran scores on that run, we go into the locker room up just 20-10 and its another nail biting second half affair.

Instead, thanks to "J-Train" the very next play results in a forced fumbled on the drop back recovered by the Cowboys. Pressure's off and we go into the locker room up 20-3.

But yeah... No big deal.
Ya know? I .mentioned wanting him as a straight up pass rush/blitzer b-4 the green bay game,,, unfortunately with #50 out of action that wasn't possible,,, chin up bro! These cats knocking on him would all be drawing ssi checks and chewing pain pills like sweet tarts if that injury happened to their casing-linero_O

One complaint about our LBs is we don't contest passes. They drop so deep that teams Have easy throws over the middle.
You notice that too!! The secondary needs to apply pressure on the receivers to get pressure on the QB. The Defense can look alright against average teams but against good offenses it has been beat like a dirty rug.

Anyone ever notice how close Lee sets up next to Jaylon when Jaylon is on the field. Also Lee was at the MIKE when Jaylon was on the field a couple of times.

Maybe its just me, but I believe Lee knows what we see and is having his back.

Jaylon has explosion straight line, laterally is still a major problem.

It's too bad he had to be thrust into starting due to injuries. Smith was much more effective in a limited role that would play to his strengths rather than having to play the entire game out of necessity.

Dig in haters. Maintain your position no matter the evidence. That seems to be the way of the world these days so you fit right in.

He had a good game and made of couple of big plays. You’ll just have to accept that.

This was the first game I thought he made a genuine impact play. I hope he comes on in the following weeks. We need him to become something special if this defense is going to be what it needs to be.

Thoughts about his game today?

They put him in when the game was waaaaaay over. Obviously didnt trust him. He is relegated to Taco Time!! He made a great play. But no doubt if he was playing the whole game they would have scored more points. I think Jaylon will be a good one, but he is not close to 100%. At least I hope he isnt.

Jaylon is a hard hitter and his impact will be felt when he decleats people. That's his game..
He's far better next to Lee than not.

He doesn't need to be overexposed and asked to play all game where offenses can attack him in the passing game with quick guys.
He's not a hard hitter, and never has been. Don't know where you guys come up with this stuff.

Smith still misreads plays too. But hopefully, that comes with experience. I really like Marinelli showing Smith as a blitzer.

I've said it before, but if Smith ever does get full nerve regeneration and is 100% healthy, the better alignment might be Smith at WILL and Lee at MIKE. Yes, I know they moved Lee from MIKE because of injury concerns.

I think he did a much better job coming off the bench than starting, better impact and more rested. He is still a year away from being a Lee type starter.

Dallas needs speed so bad
why dont you give Marinelli a call and convince him to give Fraizer jersey #55 ;)

i was looking at Atlantas lb Deion Jones
that dude ran a 4.38 40
i cant believe it
Yes, I think we'll see more and more smaller LBs like Jones in the future (6-1, 222 when drafted).

he never was a hitter like Foster a guy that just crushed
but he has changed his playstyle
maybe because hes slower getting there but hes been laying wood when hits
he also has been more strike when taking on blockers but of course still not perfect maybe never
but hes different player than college
look at college film he looks like Dez build now much bigger and stronger but yes slower

he was supposed to be limited but Lee being injured forced him to play over 30 snaps
but to what you said
Jaylon came in on a series in the 2nd quarter pretty sure
wasnt just garbage time
he was in when Lawrence got strip sack
went back out but then Lee was hurt

didnt see the Lee injury. If he is not going to play then this defense is back in trouble.

Very few rookies are capable, @ this point in the season, of captaining the Defense and putting guys into the correct positions. Jaylon was being asked to do way too much and he got exposed. When the Captain returned, Jaylon was a different player and I liked what I saw. He still has a ton of work in front of him but he's progressing with every game played. Let's face it, Sean Lee is a beast and makes everyone around him better. Just wish the guy could catch a break, w/ his history with injuries, because this team can't afford to lose him for anymore games this year. Like it or not, MLB needs to be a top priority in next year's draft. It's scary to see how big of a drop off there is when the Captain is not on the field.
