Jaylon wanted his jersey number to match his Wonderlic test score.
He scored an 18, which is not high.
9 is half of 18 though so that’s something maybe.

He’s quickly approaching TO and Jay Ratliff status.
Yeah, we watch the games. Can't plant and cut on his bad leg.all this gimp stuff and peg leg stuff...
Does anyone here have a source for it outside of this forum?
Because Jerry wants his money.....Why does he have to pay to change his jersey #? Anyone know?
Because Jerry wants his money.....
Jerry would refurnish the yacht with the 500k that Jaylon spent to change numbers...That insane yacht isn't going to fuel itself.
Per NFL rules, veteran players must buy out the current inventory of jerseys and t-shirts with their old uniform number if they want to change to a new number this season. Why does he have to pay to change his jersey #? Anyone know?

Changing uniform numbers in the NFL doesn't necessarily cost a thing for players.
For those who wish to change jersey numbers for the 2022 campaign or beyond, they won't be asked to pay a cent.
But, if an impatient player wants to make an immediate change for 2021, NFL rules require him to buy out the manufacturer's remaining inventory of his old replica jerseys.
For Cowboys linebacker Jaylon Smith, that means shelling out a reported six figures to change from No. 54 back to his old high school and college uniform, No. 9.
The good news for Smith is that NFL players do get a percentage of each sale of league merchandise on which they're featured, so the Cowboys' large fan base could help him earn a substantial rebate by buying his No. 9 replica when it hits the stores.

I’m just here for the comments.
He's more worthy keeping 54?This is a shame. He is not worthy of that number. Hey he is going to look great celebrating a tackle 15 yds past the line of scrimmage down by 20 late in the game. That F**cing stupid swipe. Ugh....
Wow!! He looks better then Romo ever did with the number 9 jersey.
He was worthy of Randy White’s number? The team can’t disallow every number a quality Cowboy player ever wore.He isn't worthy.
