Worst may be a little harsh, but he's certainly in the bottom 1%. He severely lacks awareness and coverage skills. He can play the run a little. Safeties that can play the run are a dime a dozen, see Barry Church. Difference is Church's coverage skills make him seem like Deion when compared to Heath.

Please do not mention Matt Johnson. I hope he is completely ignored when they sit down to self-evaluate the roster. But I fear they will think he is like an extra 2014 draft choice.

He's one of those fourth round projects that get 4-5 years to make his mark in the NFL, like Arkin, Brewster, Stanback, etc....... so expect him on the roster next year until he gets hurt. This past year its Webb, you know the guy we kept instead of Moore!

The best thing that can be said of Heath is that he is equal to McCray at about 1/8 the cost.

UDFA thrown into action. He's got some promise. Just to early to play.

Really this thread needs to be about the little thing we did wrong early. That was release Will Allen. Stabilizing mediocre player. Would have helped a bit when we were rolling with Jakar and others at S.

Probably so on Allen.

Heath...eh. UDFA or not I don't think he's going to do much to become more athletic and maybe I'm snake bit from the secondary players we've had here in Dallas but as bad as he plays the ball I don't see him ever getting better at it to where I won't just feel sick every time they throw a ball in his direction.

If were going by contracts to performance, my choice would be MIA, also known as Miles Austin.

I think he has some potential, but don't get why they played him over Wilcox

I love Wilcox's talent but he's not ready. He is lost. I think Heath misses assignments, too, but not like Wilcox. Heath has the size and speed but I've never seen him turn his hips and run (not saying he doesn't...just haven't seen it). We need at least Church and a ranging FS with instincts.

I keep saying this and no one pays attention but lately drafting safeties high has been very safe. That and centers followed by G. So this will be a good draft to pick up a quality safety in the first although I haven't looked at the draft class for them. So the safe safeties may be gone when we pick.

His strength is tackling, hes not fit to play the safety position in any capacity. The receivers and TEs are to athletic for his physical abilities. He may grow to be a good special teams player, however he's certainly expendable. I hope we sign a ballhawking FS in the offseason.

One of the worst players in football?

This really isn't a cool statement at all. It's pretty obvious this guy would probably be just a PS guy for any other team. It's not his fault his sent out to the wolves. A guy with very little skills played his butt off. It's better than just giving up and mailing it in like some of our other players.
