See this is my problem.... you want to interview some dude from a failing Carolina Panthers coaching tree and you have a guy like Eric Bienemy with major offensive coordinator success who's not even thought of???

Yeah ok....
Did you see the Carolina run game last year?

How do you know he's not thought of? And EB does not call plays for the Chiefs; why would he go to another team as OC and not be given the responsibility of calling plays?

Eric Bienemy is a lateral move and would need permission from KC to interview him. That probably wouldn't happen
BS… Reid can’t get rid of him fast enough. No one else wanted him last year when his contract expired w/KC, but Reid rehired him as a face-saving move for Bienemy!!

Maybe Jerry is trying to save some money and going for the 2-for-1 deal. He'll be the OC and the RB coach for the Cowboys. And also help out in the mail room during the Holidays. :muttley:

I don't know how to feel about this.

This is an interesting choice. Before people start trashing this interview, he's an Andy Reid and Doug Pederson disciple. He was the Offensive/Special Teams coordinator in Philly from 2007-2010 under Andy Reid. The only year they didn't make the playoffs with him there was 2007. I know he's not a huge name, but he has some skins all the wall as a coach with some good names that he served under. Looks to me like we are going to a more run-centred WCO, which would be wonderful for our offense. That will serve Dak well as it can set up PA passes, and, with the WCO being more focused on moving up the field and getting people in space, will serve our RBs well too. This is especially considering that he's running backs focused.

I should clarify that I say that he's a Doug disciple because he was serving under DP while in Philly too.

So he's an offensive coordinator that has never called plays??? Nahhh... im not believing that.
I honestly don’t do. If I assume? I assume he calls plays at times during the games but Andy calls them when the game is in jeopardy. Honestly not sure of how things go there I’ve read McVey has a similar approach.

I know he’s not thought of, because where is his opportunity?? For instance... Frank Reich got fired for being trash as an offensive coordinator with the Colts, mid season.... but all of a sudden he gets hired in Carolina in less than a year???

Where are those opportunities for guys like Bienemy??
