I remember how noticeable it was when I toured the place and they took us out on the field. Seemed like it would take some getting used to during warm ups, especially throwing out routes from the pocket.

It was pretty bad. And I’m pretty sure I remember some adjustments made to counter it.

There is also the Gilligan portion of this team's soul which is why it gets bitten by Murphy's Law so much and why Stephen A. Smith calls us an accident waiting to happen. If there is a cosmic banana peel, the Dallas Cowboys are going to slip on it especially if they are the ones who put it there. Think icing your own kicker, the ref hat trip, and Romo to Witten's heel in back stride to interception fluke for examples.

Jerry's refusal to perform an easy fix is not only a confirmation that his ego sets the franchise back, but also shows he does not even understand the nature of his own franchise. Of course the sun at the Death Star is going to trip us up more than other teams. I can't actually recall any opponent having plays fail because of the glare of the sun like we have on multiple occasions.

If you want an occult picture of this just know that Jerry drew the Fool card.

The sun works both ways. I don't see how it puts us at a competitive disadvantage. You would think the home team would be smart enough to adapt.

They should have run play but switched the WR's to the other side.
3 WR's left Gallup right.

That route pulls defenders off other routes.

Never mind. Football isn't hard.

Oh ok so we used that route to pull defenders off other routes, but then threw to that route.

Wow, you and KM have it all worked out.

Watching our players (like Michael Gallup last Sat or Cedric Wilson last Jan in the playoffs) get blinded by the sun trying to catch a football when there are curtains available is just insane. I’ve watched several college and HS games at AT&T where those curtains ARE used so the sun is not a factor in games.

I’m hard pressed to think of another sports owner or executive with this kind of stubborn stupidity, who literally cares more about visual aesthetics than winning. It’s maddening.

AND…the multi-million dollar upgrades JJ is paying for aren’t designed to fix this.

LOL, artwork isn't cheap, you know. And yeah, this just another reason when the Cowboys win in spite of its owner.

A play is designed to go any number of places, sometimes the defensive alignment takes away some of your options. Leaving you with a choice to throw into a tight and crowded zone or to the man to man side.
A fade pattern to the corner of the endzone is usually the only played called since it pretty much has to be thrown almost immediately after the snap.

I was thinking that maybe the WRs need to wear a visor or something?

It only affects the 3:25pm games, and only if the sun is out. While that doesn't seem like a lot, if it results in a playoff loss, then that's ALL on Jerry, and he has no excuses. Not even abstract art can express how much I hate Jerry (and all the Jones for that matter); it's honestly therapist material. lol

what IF it causes and issue with the other team that wins us a playoff game hmmmmmm
If ifs and butts were candy and nuts..you know the rest

it has not and again whats thew difference outdoor stadiums have sun in players eyes, add wind, rain, snow, and bad field conditions effect the entire game and both sides.. this barely effects 3 plays game if any at all.. this thread and the storys are futile place has been open a since 2009 and the glare and scoreboard talk has ben fulte as truly it has not affected the outcome of any games i can remember, its no different than players not making play, refs non calls or bad calls, etc etc lots of other stadiums have tougher conditions to overcome and teams know this going in.,part of the ATT experience.

sure if they fix it great if not again i made my case and its common seems, let that settle in a bit..

thread is ridiculous as the story's about it.,

BTW i saw bowl game yesterday in an outdoor stadium guy lost the ball in the sun, go figure. Its what eye black and visors were designed for not ATT stadium..

this is so rare its not worth debating but hey we beat philly so the fans needed something to whine about.

So what’s the light bill like for a home game at AT&T? How much does Jerry save on his heating and light bill by letting the sun in?

I remember the giants coach, the one after Coughlin, said he studied the field, and designed plays around it. I don't think we have coaches smart enough to do that.
Wasn't Ben Macadoo the Giants next coach. So you think he's a smart coach lol

I honestly don't know that much about him, but designing plays based on the sun's position on the field is pretty smart, imo.
It literally did him no good. It was just another shot at our coaches after a win lol. Baseball players deal with the sun all the time on pop up balls.

Jimmy studied the field in SF prior to the 1992 NFCCG and had Norv design plays based on field conditions. They resodded parts of the field and Jimmy wanted to make sure his players had good footing. I miss those days!
