I don't hate making a trade for a younger guy who can learn and develop in your system....the issue I have is making this kind of move when you have no idea who will be coaching or what type of system you'll have a year from now.

Is it possible that Jerry is planning on keeping McCarthy? If not why not let the next coach pick their own players?

This should let us know how the club feels about the two Jalen WRs..and Ryan Flournoy to give up a mid round pick....

This is depressing. The Cowboys are that old boxer who's been getting his *** kicked for 8 rounds straight but his corner won't throw in the towel. We're done, Jerry.

I'm sure JJ could wrangle up some 5th string LBs and a 4th to replace the one they just lost and all will be right in Cowboy FO land otherwise known as Bizarro world

This seems like an admission from the front office that Turpin and Brooks aren't NFL caliber WRs, and Tolbert is probably a 4th WR. So they show desperation here and get fleeced.

In a normal NFL front office, this would be the case. But, we're talking about Jerry Jones here. He's going to do whatever he wants, no matter how crazy it is!! smh

JJ was more concerned with being the first voice to break the new of the trade vs the actual details of the trade and not knowing how to read the social media "room" when it comes to the Boys.

Risky trade but Mingo’s raw talent is better than anything you’d get in the 4th round. This move makes Cooks expendable after the season and allows the team to focus on the trenches/RB with their top 3 picks.
