He's a "Legend" in his own mind, that's for sure. Grade A, Malignant Narcissist.
Narcissists go on the attack when criticized and never admit they make a mistake. Jerry either embraces criticism saying it is all good or admits he was wrong and changes his ways.

He lacks humility and his pride can certainly be viewed as hubris but he does not fit as a narcissist.

You as a youngster have a multi billion dollar franchise...right? Step on up, then...and school all of us as old as Jerry.
I really don't care to school anyone on this board on anything.

I was just adding that there are different ways to dissect what Jerry says (in this case as well) and he obviously puts too much out there for viewers to pick apart.

I can't say if this was his way of indicating this was primarily his decision alone and you all need to deal with it, or his attempt to let Cowboys fans know that as an organization they smartly allow for the flexibility to make moves such as this. Who knows? I have know idea what goes on inside that man's head, but I do believe in speaking too much he opens the door for speculation which is typically closely followed by criticism.

Okay, I for one am intrigued to see how Deion does with Colorado the rest of the season and if he makes the leap to the NFL as a Head Coach....always thought he was a great motivator type and clearly he knows the game of football....but would it translate into the NFL? I doubt he would want to make the move and deal with the often adult baby mentality and that he prefers to mold players into all-around young men but time will tell.
Deion's personality and coaching style fits perfectly in motivating kids at the college level. His charisma is intoxicating to 19 and 20 year olds. I doubt that would translate multi-millionaire NFL players. But he's done a great job at the college level.

That being said, Saturday's had as much to do with TCU 's regression after their magical year last year. They are basically starting over after losing 17 starters. But Deion took full advantage, to his credit

And his kid looks like he can play at a high level

Jerry protects the legal sides of things and what it takes to negotiate...that's all.

He has strong detail knowledge and fully active on NFL levels. He is very knowledgeable. Success at both Collegiate and NFL is not really uncommon. He has learned how to coach strongly. That translate as to leadership strength.

It's such an advantage that it's led to a level of futility that only Detroit and Washington have known the last two and half decades.
Maybe those two other teams have the same curse about mowing down some old ladies bush too.

Deion is knowledgeable, smart and can clearly coach. I just would have to see it at the NFL level to believe it. It just feels to me like his style would work better with kids than guys making $20 million a year.

And actually head coaches succeeding at both the collegiate and NFL levels is quite rare. For every Jimmy Johnson there are a dozen Nick Saban's

We are so fortunate. We can make bad decisions quickly.
And with no fear of getting fired for a long list of said failures!

That is what our "unique advantage" is, and is the reason for that huge haul of Lombardi Trophies this century.

They have been hitting some good ones recently. They got Martin done while the 49ers and Chiefs have key players holding out.
Martin, Smith, Diggs, Pollard... and more to come. People can complain all they want, and they did when Martin was holding out. But Jerry got it done, while the Niners and Chiefs are still without their best defensive player with no end in site and the season starting in a few days.

I can name you about 20 teams that have been huge failures over the past 40 years and have gone through 3,4,5,6 GMs and still stink. Hiring a new GM ensures nothing but hiring a new GM. Same as hiring the next "Hotshot," young coach.

Fair opinion...that is a valid addition of opinion.

Most good new NFL coaches are actually successful in the college ranks. Depends on style and if they were abusive task masters instead, in College.

He has earned opportunity and all now is upon the desire for direction by Deion. He could probably be positively encouraged to make the change.

He still respects the man in Jerry Jones.

Jerry was no more qualified to be GM than you or I.
Jerry was co captain of an NCAA D1 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBAL TEAM, and you think you and I have the same credentials as that? Give me a break. I think anyone with a good mind can learn to be a GM. What exactly did Lynch do that made hi so qualified to be a GM? Did he have front office experience?
