But what team is paying him his asking price?
I think he is going to have the pass a physical and take a 1 year loaded with incentives. Most of the money is already spent and the Colts have a ton of cap space but refuse to do it. Little bit of a red flag as well.

Jerry has never ruled out anything. He loves any speculation pointing towards us.

So lets give up high draft picks for an RB who is hurt worse than our current 10 mill guy AND didnt produce as good when he played...man you guys and your RB fetish is just wierd.

Lol, hes a damn good rb. That said he wants to be paid and we aren't doing all that.

The problem with trading for Taylor isn't just the compensation but the contract you have to give him. He only wants out of Indy because they won't pay him. He would be the same malcontent here unless you give him a top of the market new deal.

Who wants to do that? I don't.
Yep, the ONLY way I'm a player in this is as a one year rental. CZ poster Havic said it in another post. And that's to offer up 9 mil on a one year rental with incentives to reach 12.
Do not even offer a top market or more years option.

That would be my only offer.

Lol,
I just mentioned your previous post concerning this. Lol.

Repeat after me:

Running backs don’t matter. Investing high draft capital and cap money is a recipe for disaster. Run Pollard into the ground this year and draft someone on day 2 to take his place

normally I would say that this isn’t fiscally responsible but I’ve now realized the Salary Cap isn’t real

man we are on the same page, can you make this 40 mill for me i cant figure out the math.

In 2023, Prescott will earn a base salary of $1,700,000 and a restructure bonus of $29,300,000, while carrying a cap hit of $26,832,647

And last week Jerry said we wouldn’t have the cap space to redo Martins contract and 5 days later….poof, more money is found………I thought only the feds could print more money with a deficit

I would laugh so hard if they traded picks and also paid what JT wants. After the Zeke contract debacle it would be priceless…won’t happen though

Taylor is only 24 years old. I’d offer a 2nd and a 4th if I could sign Taylor for 3 years at 40 million guaranteed.

Jerry is in denial again, or still. How can any one be happy with the RB situation. I am not impressed at all.
I hope I am wrong. But so far 2023 RB situation is like the 2022 WR situation.
Shaky at best.

package a few players, maybe even a few draft picks, and trade for Taylor. But no way give up a 1 or a 2 round pick.
Jerry loves his running backs
