It will drive away some long-term fans. This is bad for the NFL, the Cowboys and Zeke. Here's the thing...
This will dominate Cowboys discussion and news for the next 12-18 months.

The NFL (who among them are leading this charge I haven't got a clue) will look like utter ***** if and when Zeke is shown to be innocent. It will be seen that in their quest to be tough on domestic violence, where in the past they were seen as soft and compromising when there was legitimate evidence for it, e.g., Ray Rice, Josh Brown, etc., they effectively railroaded an innocent potential star of the league just to be PC.
but they didn't just say it was 'conduct detrimental' and leave it at that. They said they believed that Zeke abused her. That's a whole different animal IMO.
Dallas Cowboys. Never a dull moment.
Sheesh.
6 but reduced to 4.How many games did Roethlisberger get for rape?
So did the Columbus DA, He believed Zeke hit her, but his burden of proof is substantially higher than the NFL
If there were clear enough evidence of innocence, we would have heard it by now. The problem is in a "he said, she said" situation there probably wont be such clear exculpatory evidence, but for some reason the NFL wants that to default to guilty.
Lol sure man. You may be the most negative person I've ever seen. If your employer fires you without cause or evidence you can sue them. Maybe not in your imaginary world where the sky is always falling but in reality you can.And you would get nowhere
The problem for the fans..we don't have any real information just spin.this whole situation is puzzling, I really have no idea where it could land. I feel I could make plausible arguments for every outcome - anyone know what is a reasonable time frame for a decision to be rendered?
I've been thinking something similar. If Zeke looses the appeal and really is innocent then he should file a civil claim against the defendent seeking damages. This will force her on to the stand.IMO, the easy way to resolve this is for Zeke and Jerry to file a dual $100M civil lawsuits against the girl. She'll be in debt her entire life if she doesn't come out and say she made this stuff up.

That wasn't for the rape allegations though. That was for giving underage girls alcohol. Then they seemed to understand it was not a good idea to slap that kind of tag on a player.6 but reduced to 4.
And there was no charge/conviction in that case in a court of law
Civil case and Roethlisberger reached a settlement - when you reach a setllement you admit some guilt.... Terms were not released so we don't know

In Texas, your employer can fire you for any reason, without cause, as long as it's not discriminatory or based on a protected-class status.Lol sure man. That's not even close to being true. People settle for all sorts of reasons. This is why settlements aren't allowed to be introduced as evidence of guilt in criminal cases.
