Tony (with a big push from Candice) I think will only play a few more years.

I am sure he's tired of all the injuries. He doesn't need the money. He has a big career waiting for him after football.

You don't remember my rule #5?? Never tell a man when to quit and give up his passion! :D

I really hope Tony has that time left. I really enjoy watching him and really hope we can make a run with him. My fear has always been post Romo. We may be the worst team in the league without him. I think one of the things that gets overlooked here is we will find our future QB with only one pick. These are the same decision makers who put their faith behind Quincy, Henson, and Hutch. Finding the next franchise QB is hard work and requires some luck. There are quite a few teams who have been looking for that guy for over 15 years. There are very few shortcuts to find that QB. Without that QB, you are pretty much irrelevant in today's NFL.

Well.. I guess this means I can give up the hope of the Cowboys cutting him in 2016 to save money.

Said it countless times, his pathological optimism holds this franchise back in so many ways.

Nobody in the entire organization is going to question this outlook with realism. On the rare times someone talks sense to him and above all can make him understand, it is usually too late.

Look at Aikman. He continued to mortgage drafts to get him weapons when his back was shot. Then when it truly hits him, he panics.

According to Jimmy, it's not up to Jerry........

Fisher's take:

As we monitor Manziel's future in Cleveland and beyond, know this: The Dallas Cowboys had a pre-2014 NFL Draft first-round grade on him. That grade was issued with full knowledge of his upbringing, his family life, his behavioral flaws and, most of all, his potential. ... That wasn't "Jerry Love.'' That was a scouting grade. So, do you give a first-round grade to a player you think is, ultimately, a scorpion?
The Cowboys are going to look under a rock ... and I think they should, and quite possibly will, dig up a way to take a real and affordable chance on Johnny Manziel.

and when Johnny becomes a Cowboy, there will be thread after thread proclaiming Jerry a genius for getting Johnny and predicting a super bowl run right around the corner.

I like Tony as much as anyone but he's 35 and has a history of injuries. Anyone that thinks that Tony can play well for another 5 years is delusional.

there's your sign!

Probably, even some of the people who say they want nothing to do with him now and that he sucks.

He does suck

Getting manziel on this team will be further proof of Jerry's absolute lack of football intellect and that of this FO

The spineless jellyfish we call our HC will spit and clap his way to 5 more million dollars

CZ homers will still tell us what a great press conference he gives and how he is still building a team that will contend for the long haul

Meanwhile teams like Patriots, GB and Steelers will win more SBs

If you watch Manziel he is not that bad of a QB.

I'd love to have him here as a backup because I think he still can develop into a pretty good player but the lightning rod that he is with the media just makes it not worth it.

He is the type of guy we need when Romo goes down though.

I would love RG3 as well as a backup because he is mobile, and throws down field well.

If we're not serious about firing Garrett and not drafting a QB then I want a guy behind Romo that is willing to make plays with his legs because no other QB is going to consistently do well in this trash scheme.

Actually, I disagree. JF is not a good quarterback. One of the quarterback gurus (Jaws, Dilfer, Steve Young or someone else I can't remember) did a break down on Johnny Manziel.
He can only see part of the field. He has one, maybe two good reads and if those reads are available, he starts to run.
The problem is he's not fast enough to outrun guys in the NFL. And he doesn't have the type of elusiveness that steps up in the pocket but still has his eyes downfield.
He's ready to run. And as we've seen already, he can't outrun everyone and gets hit when he does.
Besides, he's more like 5'10 and can't see over his blockers.
JF will easily be schemed against by making him stay in the pocket and forcing him to run up the middle of a defense where he's less likely to get out of bounds and more likely to take a hit in the middle of the field.

I like JF too and admit I wanted the Cowboys to take him because I thought he was a playmaker.

But I question whether he has the discipline and the talent to succeed on the NFL level.

I dont see any QB developing under the Painkiller Wilson

Jerry behaving this way should not be a surprise to anyone.

As a matter of fact, I can think of another institution that meets on Sundays that is predicated on people being this gullible/faithful/stupid and it has tons of followers that behave the same way.

Uh, you looking to start a war up in here?

Vid is not working for me for some reason, what does it say?

Also, you don't have speakers at work.

It's not loading for me, either, or I'd give you the quick rundown. I'll I know is it suggests 'Jimmy Johnson doesn't think bad calls should be blamed for losses.'
