Watch Mr. HENRY destroy the Chiefs tonight and when Jerry is asked about it tomorrow say "we like our guys" without mentioning Zeke by name.
Mr. Henry will get his chance to destroy this team in a few weeks.

And we have "fans" that ask Jerry for his autograph. Those are the fans that make us look terrible, and couldn't tell you who any of the coordinators are. I hate those fans.
They are the reason he's able to do as so. Without support from casuals we'd have a different GM.

"First of all, we might have a little difference as to what we were lacking the most. It is very common, matter of fact the rule, that when you look at a coming season, you've got some soft spots. In a football team. Or in a any team I think. So it's a question of, where do your resources, where do they need, the areas that need the most attention." "And candidly I thought in Zeke that we really had an opportunity. I know that, how badly he wanted to get back with the Cowboys. I personally thought that his work there in New England was better than maybe a lot of other people evaluated it. I thought he did carry the mail in some critical times for them." "...I have more belief that Zeke gives us what we need in our short yardage than maybe a lot of fans do."

wow, what a word salad. essentially I didn't want to pay Henry the money he was asking, so I went to the storage room and pulled out Zeke.

Naw man I mean I love Zeke but people hate him here for some reason. When you ask them why they bring up stuff from 2015…..
That's just dumb. I'm talking about stuff that caused us to let him go and he went to NE because he's considerably slower, and is only really good at punching it in, and getting the tough 1 yard on 4th and 1

He says this as if we used any significant free agent resources anywhere

If you dispose of the idea that current Zeke compares to young Zeke, then the Cowboys are not necessarily in the no-man's land most pundits seem to believe for their running game. They have elements that could lead to a good running game on offense - even if they don't have any superstar caliber players. If they are willing to actually use Luepke and Vaughn regularly (5+ carries each) per game, then Zeke and Rico can handle the other 25 carries between them. Throw in 2-3 jet sweeps from Turpin and an occasional end around from CeeDee and the Cowboys can have a competent running game - which is all they need.

The biggest factor which will contribute to a strong running game from the Cowboys isn't the running backs in the RB room - it is the new beef upfront. The left side of Guyton, Smith and Beebe could become a force, and two seasons ago, Steele was the Cowboys best graded Olineman in the running game. Martin on the right side is still strong. Uprading the strength in the center of the Oline is going to be a huge factor in the running game. Even last year, the Cowboys did better running the ball when Brock Hoffman was in the game. He was simply stronger than Biadasz. Biadasz is still a good center - above average even. But he simply never had the strength to open up holes in the running game. Biadasz has the feet of a good Olineman, but simply not the upper body Brute Strength. This was why so many coaches were high on Hoffman coming into the season - because of his strength. He wasn't as technically good as Biadasz, but sometimes you simply need the brute force. Beebe has both.

The Cowboys are going to struggle in pass protection on the edges. Guyton is young and will make mistakes. Steele is still a work in progress. That is why having Zeke in the backfield to help out isn't such a bad thing for passing plays. But both tackles are already pretty good run blockers who love to punish defenders. Add in two All-Pro guards and the Cowboys run game could be a huge surprise for a lot of people - simply because the Oline may consistently get a 2-3 yard push off the line before even talking about opening holes. Those are some big strong dudes up front. As they go, so goes the running game.

Al Davis took his team to 5 Super Bowls. Jerry has only been to 3.
“I do realize that you did not want us to draft Jamarcus Russell. He is a great player. Get over it and coach this team on the field, that is what you were hired to do."

I'll never forget that moment lol

Boy, he uses a lot of words to say nothing. We know why he didn't pursue Henry. Money. It's the same reason he didn't pursue anyone of importance.

The rest of what he said is all just nonsense and smoke. Jerry has no issue gaslighting his fans.

Well, he figured he was already paying Zeke's first contract, so might as well pay him some more.

We all are going to find out if Jerry was right or wrong to bring back Zeke. If Zeke fails, bash Jerry all you want. If Zeke succeeds, apologize to Jerry.

It's going to be just like his last year here. He won't be very good at all, but they'll force all the goalline carries to him so his TD numbers look good and Jerry can claim victory.

Just watch.

That will never happen for some fans. No matter what. Win the SB .... Jerry and some other players will not be given credit. It will be they won for other reasons.

If there were a way to find out, I’d bet that played a role in Jerry’s thinking. The Cowboys should have signed Elliott and Henry. Neither were mammoth deals like Philly and SF are paying a running back.

So we passed on Derrick Henry b/c Jerry thought Zeke was an equivalent player for a lot less money.
