Jerry Jones: Very happy with Cowboys post-Micah Parsons trade

What do you mean that's what I thought? I unlike you answered your question without a deceptive response. I said I official stats.

I went south on that bum after the green bay game. After he ran his mouth about how he was going to play great and instead he did his normal......nothing. if you are trying to imply that I hate when players get paid show me where I turned on ceedee when he wanted his money.
I was just curious when you went south on Parsons. I assume you’re referring to Packers playoff game we were blown out?

And I’ll look forward to your facts and data why Micah wasn’t an All Pro:)

And that doesn’t count the additional 1st rounder . It all punctuates the value Parsons had which provides Cowboys an excellent opportunity to overcome loss of Parsons .
And this doesn’t even factor in the additions of Rashaun Gary and Malachi Lawrence, as well as the continued development of Donovan Ezeiraku.

It’s not a slight against Parsons to say that the Cowboys are a better overall team than they were prior to trading him.

Coming from someone who said they answer questions like a mayor you sure require alot of answers to your questions
But unlike you I answer.

You’re right. It’s not. It’s actually impressively supportive how valuable Parsons was.

Now let’s see if we can make it pay off.

No doubt.

Despite him being a former Cowboy, I’m not trying to retroactively minimize his talent. He was a great player in Dallas, and he was great in Green Bay as well.

But I will be paying close attention to when he comes back and if he’s still the same player.

Not yet you haven’t. Your data and facts why Micah isn’t an All Pro are secret.
Because after Thanksgiving since he came into the league he folds like you would on a witness stand with your question dodging. Go tally up his sacks based on my criteria. It's known to any non casual football person that games get tighter and more serious after the Thanksgiving break. Coincidentally it's when micah falters. Go to your nfl.com stats and tell me how many games and how many sacks Mr all pro has after Thanksgiving. Hint:it's not great

Unfortunately Mr Guru NFL stats are a totalitarian cumulative compilation. When calculating towards recognition in All Pro the sum is what’s measured .

As I suspected you’ve dissected a portion of the statistical compilation to serve your narrative.

When did I say he wasnt an all pro? Quote where I said that. You think you're good at this but you're really not. Definitely not mayor material. But then again, the way you make up quotes from people maybe you are

You said his stats were inflated. I’m assuming that would mean he’s not All Pro then. If not who cares?

I'm curious so I looked. What's interesting is that he's had at least 1 sack in every Thanksgiving game he's ever played in so the 2nd line in these years also includes Thanksgiving games.

2021
4 sacks (31% of his sack total) after TG (5 games - 31% of season)
5 sacks (38% of his sack total) including TG (6 games - 37% of season)

2022
1.5 sacks (11% of his sack total) after TG (6 games - 35% of season)
3.5 sacks (26% of his sack total) including TG (7 games - 41% of season)

2023
2.5 sacks (18% of his sack total) after TG (6 games - 35% of season)
4 sacks (28% of his sack total) including TG (7 games - 41% of season)

2024
5.5 sacks (46% of his sack total) after TG (5 games - 29% of season)
7 sacks (58% of his sack total) including TG (6 games - 35% of season)

2025
0 sacks (played 2 games, injured in 2nd)
2.5 sacks (played 3 games, injured in 3rd)

I meant to also add vs playoff teams. I mean this is the all pro were talking about. We shouldn't care what he does against lowly bottom feeders. People have different energy when it comes to dak. But with parsons his frontrunner stats vs bad teams count. Lol

Well, of course Jerry is going to say that, pretty much no matter what we got for Micah.

But I actually am happy with it, too. I'm happy to have Kenny, Malachi and Barham, who, IIRC, we got with the fourth we got when we traded down in the first. And it also helped us get Quinnen! And honestly, I was starting to be just a little embarrassed to root for Micah because he just seems like such a d****e.

Archer said the other day that MIcah was never signing here, no matter what might have been said publicly.

I don't know when Micah would have made that decision, but Archer was pretty firm on his statement.
I have trouble believing the never part. There was definitely a point where the relationship became completely fractured. Frankly, it looks to me that it happened when Mulugheta refused to even look at the offer that Jerry and Micah had a handshake agreement to do. Jerry thought he and Parsons had reached a fair agreement that would have made Micah the highest-paid defensive player, but Mulugheta wouldn't consider it because the Joneses never negotiated with him. Parsons then listened to his agent and said the Joneses would have to go through Mulugheta. That's when both Stephen and Jerry started bad-mouthing his agent and ultimately Parsons, with Stephen saying that the player has to want to make a deal, which appeared to tick off Parsons.

I believe when Jerry and Micah talked in the spring, they both wanted to get a deal done, but by camp, it was clear that both sides were frustrated and let it spill over, the Joneses in the comments that they made and Micah in his behavior. Now, there was info that Parsons and his agent tried to go to Jerry at the last minute before the trade to work something out so he could stay, but Jerry wasn't interested at that point. Of course, Mulugheta may have been asking to scrap everything and start over, which essentially is the same as saying trade him. There's no indication that he ever tried to use what Jerry had offered as a starting point. There was no counteroffer, just I'm the agent, so forget whatever deal you thought you had worked out and let's talk. And by then, Jerry probably had moved on to finding out what all he could get for Parsons.

I agree. Based on everything we heard locally Micah had intended initially to resign here. It was naive for Jethro to believe he had a deal done . He knows everything ultimately goes thru their agent . He was just trying to circumvent. And then played sympathy card to gain public sentiment which begun to turn fans against Micah as well.

Micah felt disrespected , begun his childish tantrum which turned more fans off and publicly said he wanted out , didn’t appear to be any turning back even though I think Dallas tried to come to table later in negotiations . Micah at that point was totally put out , wanted out and his agent pursued a deal with another team demanding a trade.

If they hadn’t found a team which I think Jethro was hoping it might drag on then the drama would have continued on with Micah probably sitting out waiting for Jethro to cave or eventually find a trade partner.

But in the end I think it was Micah’s agent who pulled the trigger with Green Bay and then orchestrated trade .

That chart doesn't reflect Quinnen, who is better than Micah straight up and has infinitely more character. He wouldn't fall asleep during a game like Micah did.
Q is very talented. We’ve got him through 2028, at the least.

But not the same player as Micah.

No it's not lopsided at all, I agree. And yes, I love Q. I've thought he was the best DT prospect of the last decade.

Actually, I forgot to factor in Mazi and the 7th we got back for Philly with the trade down.

So if we lump in Q, and the fair trade back to Philly... it's this.

Away:
Micah - To GB
Mazi - To NYJ
2026 2nd- to NYJ
2026 7th - To PHI
2027 1st- To NYJ

Received:
Kenny Clark - From GB
2026 1st- From GB (#20-->#23 Malachi Lawrence)
--2026 4th - From PHI (#114 - Devin Moore)
--2026 5th - From PHI (#137 - LT Overton)
Quinnen Williams -- From NYJ
2027 1st- From GB

The purple/bolded 1sts are more or less the same 1st right now and wash out since:

A: We do not yet know the delta between the two
B: From a behavioral economics standpoint, the FO doesn't traded for Quinnen if they don't have an extra 1st in 2027.

We could feel differently next year about the 2027 1st by this coming February.
That’s not enough for a player like Micah.

Which is why it’s an embarrassing trade.

GB laughing at us.

We have to face their fans.
