I have trouble believing the never part. There was definitely a point where the relationship became completely fractured. Frankly, it looks to me that it happened when Mulugheta refused to even look at the offer that Jerry and Micah had a handshake agreement to do. Jerry thought he and Parsons had reached a fair agreement that would have made Micah the highest-paid defensive player, but Mulugheta wouldn't consider it because the Joneses never negotiated with him. Parsons then listened to his agent and said the Joneses would have to go through Mulugheta. That's when both Stephen and Jerry started bad-mouthing his agent and ultimately Parsons, with Stephen saying that the player has to want to make a deal, which appeared to tick off Parsons.
I agree. Based on everything we heard locally Micah had intended initially to resign here. It was naive for Jethro to believe he had a deal done . He knows everything ultimately goes thru their agent . He was just trying to circumvent. And then played sympathy card to gain public sentiment which begun to turn fans against Micah as well.
Q is very talented. We’ve got him through 2028, at the least.
That’s not enough for a player like Micah.
