You mean the disaster where we won 13 games, 11 in a row and Dak won rookie of the year over the hero Zeke?

BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! Another hollow comment punted into the river.
You mean the season they rested Zeke in the final game and played Dak, because they wanted to give the MVP of the Cowboys a rest and give Dak all the practice he needed only to flop around and suck in the playoffs, followed by his monumental performances in 2017 without Zeke when he was suspended 6 games and then how Dak carried the squad when they didn't have Amari in the "Dak friendly" offense...

There is not a single person watching in 2016 that thought Dak had more impact than Zeke in those years, not a single person including your self.

Well, I didn't think it was too high as I wanted Zeke.
Now, well, wisdom is great from a hindsight perspective. Shrug.

Not really. Picking any RB in the top 5 is almost always a surefire bad idea. How many RBs careers would have justified a top 5 pick in the last 20 years?

Peterson for sure. Maybe Stephen Jackson? McCoy? Pretty short list, when you could pick several players at almost every other position worthy of it. EE wasn't worth it, and he's been one of the most productive backs before or since.

Thats how i see it nothing against the player but if your going to spend a top 5 pick a 13 year all pro OL brings one hell of alot more value than a 5 year RB.

Remind me again which of my points you're taking exception to?

I agree Zeke's second contract was too much. I don't regret drafting Zeke. I wanted Ramsey, but did not complain about Zeke. The way I look at it is.. I will support any Cowboy player, but never have any hate for them unless they do something ridiculous off the field. Jerry is the only one I am not fond of. Should have stopped being a GM 27 years ago.

This is what’s maddening about Jerry & Co.. Some fans knew this was a bad idea and didn’t make sense monetarily at the time. Some could be said in 2018(?) when we tried trotting out Deonte Thompson and Allen Hurns as starting wide receivers. Then, these goobers turnaround and say “oh, yeah, I’m hindsight not a great idea by us…”

The one stat that stands out for me the most is in 2015 when it was 3rd or 4th and 1 the Cowboys were an atrocious 1 for 33 but when Zeke showed up the Cowboys were 29 for 30 now that is an amazing turnaround!

So Dak flopped in the playoffs? You mean the Packers game where he went for 300 yards and 3 TD's and a 103 QBR? :lmao::lmao::laugh::laugh:

You trolls cant even get your story striaght?

This argument isnt about who had more of an impact, this argument is that some clown said Dak had no impact.

Game, Set, Match!!!

The biggest impact in the 2016 season was the Oline. That was what lead the offense. Gave Zeke the holes he so desparately needed and Dak the time he needed to throw the football.

You put any quality back behind that 2016 line and they look great.

As soon as the line went, Zeke went.

To be fair….

Both Morris and McFadden both struggled that year.

But Zeke dominated.

I find this encouraging. I don't think that it precludes drafting Robinson in the second half of the first round if he falls but I do think it precludes spending premium resources at the position. No more $15m deals for power backs, sweet ambrosia.

Zeke and the run game were a big part of the success. That was never in doubt and not what the argument is about. The argument is about the clowns that try to claim that Zeke carried Dak or that Dak had nothing to do with the success that year. That claim is easily dispelled.

The accurate analysis is that the Oline was the #1 thing that year that made that offense go. If you had to pick ONE factor it would be the Oline.

Those that dont understand football, will see only a RB picking up yards. Those that do understand football, know that the Oline was the heartbeat of that football team for several years around that time.

If it wasnt Zeke it was Murray. Put any good back behind that great Oline and give them 300 carries and they will challenge for the rushing title.

FYI.................McFadden had over 1400 combined yards the year prior in 2016 and averaged 4.6 ypc.

That was also the year Dez got hurt and only played in 9 games.
