Jerry non commital on Will McClay future after the coming draft

I think Jerry should bring back Lacewell and start co-drafting with him again.

Has idiot ever committed to anything.? He loves keeping the suspense and attention on him. He simply sucks....Even other team fans now are laughing at his idiot butt.

Its beyond funny now its more people are ignoring him to the point of boredom. Nothing he says makes any sense.

As the great Master Yoda once said.. This is why you fail.
McClays's done a good job considering you the front office refuses to spend money

Interesting after the draft it expires.
so if they have no interest in keeping him. Which we do not know for sure. Why not go a different direction before the draft.
Switch him out if a new HC in brought in. And build a future team together.

I kept after the draft. We still will not know how well he did until a few years later. Especially when we need impact players now.

I prefer move on from the entire staff. Or most of them. Including changes in the scouting department, as well as the training staff and strength and conditioning guys.
Scouts and coaches arent the problem, the front offices confusion and disconnection from reality is the issue

Jerry is the new Al Davs

While McClay is not blame free, I think he has been responsible for harnessing in Jerry and Stephan from their recklessness for a few years - but, that does appear to be slipping.
The trade for Lance. Without any input from anyone other than Jerry shows this. Also, the Mingo trade while smart in theory, does not look like anything more then Jerry trying to prove he's smarter than anyone else. And failing again.
I remember Parcells saying he could only coach a team for a limited amount of years - because eventually the players tune you out after hearing the same thing year after year.
Had McClay reached that point ? That the Joneses don't hear him anymore ?
We are royally screwed if that's the case !
This is a great post. The longer you're in the Jones system, the more likely you are to give in and become part of it. Parcells affected true change in the organization but it was always a temporary thing until Jerry got his stadium.

The Lance and Mingo trades clearly indicate that Jerry is fully and completely at the wheel once again and dissenting opinion no longer have sway

I dont understand his answer, its just a nonsensical answer, Why be secretive about this? This is the strangest season I can remember, its a Twilight Zone episode

Maybe Jerry is cracking up.
Jerry is as crazy as a rabid Racoon. And what's happening in Dallas is by far stranger than any episode of the Twilight Zone.

How did he go crazy in one year in the past he would at least try to win now he's noncommittal about everything, cant make a decision about the most obvious things and seems directionless. its as he forgot about everything that has happened since he bought the team.

Is Jerry at the wheel? The front office isnt doing anything. No one is in charge, its on auto pilot.

Gotta keep the Will man jeez all those Studs like Taco, Mazi, Guyton, and let's not forget the tons of wasted # 2 picks from Jaylon to Bossman.
Watt Watt Watt nah Jerry Taco fits our scheme better..................
Your one of those guys lmao, what about all the GOOd picks. I'm sure you just overlooked those

Will McClay, in his 21st season working in the Cowboys Personnel Department, was named the club's assistant director of player personnel in 2013 and senior director of pro/college scouting in 2015. He was named Vice President Player Personnel in 2017, and he will continue to oversee the club's NFL Draft process and play a key role in free agent and trade acquisitions.

Taco drafted 2017............
1 name Rod Marineli

It's English not Chinese unless his job description is a total Lie.
Heck, we have all heard him give his advice to Jerry before the pick is in.
Maybe you're correct and all he's good for is carrying Jerry's Bag around.
Whatever.............

He oversees the draft process. He doesn’t have final say. You should read more English

McClay puts together the board, It's up to the team if they follow it or draft on need instead. McClay did whiff on Mazi but has found good players late. McClay is not the problem, its the owner / gm.

Draft isnt even the issue, theyve done all right but the front office refuses to improve the team through free agency or provide any depth

If you get injuries theres no way to compete. They are just too limited in team building. It cant be money because the cap can be manipulated and the teams make money regardless of how much they spend.

The only conclusions are:
They are selling the team and the above still dont make sense or theyve cracked up
