Jerry on how Eagles construct their roster vs how the Cowboys do

It's like I've been saying... the single biggest advantage an NFL franchise can have right now is to NOT have Jerry Jones as Owner/GM. No matter how bad you think your team may look, no matter how black pilled you are about the future, you have hope to one day be a contender because you don't have Jerry Jones calling the shots. Anything can happen for you. That isn't the case with the Cowboys. There is no hope so long as Jones runs the show. There's no stars aligning, no chaos theory, no lucky flukes that can overcome Jerry.

lol. The eagles have proven to be an elite organization with an outstanding GM and an owner who stays out of the way. And their head coach can hire their own staff and has the power to hire and fire. They’ve won a a Super Bowl recently and played in the nfc championship games a lot recently. Other than that, yeah we are just as good as the eagles.
Yeah, and so are we . Screw the eagle.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @1053thefan when asked about the Eagles' roster construction vs. the Cowboys' roster construction:

"They're at a time where they're paying their quarterback now. They've really spent some money to put this team together, and they've spent some cap. This is a good time for them to hit it because they have a lot invested in this team.

"I for sure make comparisons with the cap status (of other teams) around the league with where they've got room to grow the cap. ... I do that all the time. I observe every club very carefully. I obviously look that over and apply it to us and where we spend our money.

"That's why we (signed Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb) this year. We knew they were cornerstones of now and in the future."

Rosemary isn't afraid to trade (based on a sound evaluation of the player) eg Wentz, or vary contracts. Maybe he sells the vision, I don't know, but he certainly doesn't rinse and repeat.

Eagle fans, they get one ring and they think they’re on top of the NFL. Not even close.

What? You're honestly declaring we have an outstanding GM? Who stays out of the way?

Still doing the New Year's Eve drinking thing this morn?
Three seasons 12+ wins. Has three rings. But I guess it’s one of you’ve done for me lately. Well, it’s not over. I know it’s Super Bowl or bust for some of you people. But that’s not the NFL. I enjoy watching the Eagles lose as much as us win.

No one ever says what Mountaineer said on Wentz but it's so true. All that love and devotion Jerry has for Prescott he'd have for Wentz. He'd be the highest paid QB in the league right now. Your starting QB for the last 9 years and for the foreseeable future.

Prescott won the lottery when the Cowboys drafted him.
He would, and no way he would have drafted Hurts in the second round with his starting QB "in place."

lol. You should start drinking since Jerry is our GM. You may not have heard but NFL GMs only get five years to mk some noise in the playoffs or they’re out. Jerry as the owner, GM, and head coach has overseen the worst drought in franchise history and we haven’t won consecutive playoff games in almost 30 years (or six GM 5 yr lifetimes).

If you won’t take up drinking, I recommend smelling salts and coffee.

I’ve been a fan since the 60s. This franchise blows away anything the Eagles can do

I’ve been a fan since Super Bowl V and I know about our incredible playoff runs and championships but I also know a 30 year deep playoff run drought when I see it. I’ve rarely missed a game since season of 72.

I hate the eagles too but they have had great success in the playoffs compared to Cowboys and Commanders, both so dysfunctional they are the only two teams in the NFC that can’t win mk it to the conf championship game.

You can defend Jerry, drink the blue koolaid, and celebrate his financial victories but as a lifetime Cowboys fan, the only thing I care about is deep playoff runs.

And my comments were about the past 30 years.

Sounds like a GM that's clueless on how contracts should be written in order to best benefit the team in the present and future.

It's like he and Stephen missed the GM NFL contract writing class or something.
I mean, if it's a copycat league, then I sure would welcome him copying many of the other successful GMs writing other team contracts.

But that's just me.

I just like giving eagle fans a hard time, yes I’m glad you were there for the ride . I can’t stand Jerry, but it’s truly not all his fault. Byron Jones, he was almost as bad as Smith dropping the ball in the end zone. if he only got deep enough on Aaron Rodgers. And then Ezekiel Elliott fumbling the ball on the goal line against the Rams. And then holding out and then Freddie getting sick and then losing Jason , and does Bryant at the same time. And then Prescott‘s first injury. And then this season was a freaking disaster like who sold their soul we’re paying for it ever since Jimmy Johnson went in the Ring of honor we were screwed lol

Everybody just wants somebody to blame, I don’t like Jerry either, but this franchise is worth a zillion dollars because we keep winning just not in the playoffs and that’s not anybody’s fault but the players and coaches

I’m just sick of not reaching the nfc championship after 30 seasons and there’s a lot of reasons, but Jerry has made all the football decisions and he transcends any hc or qb. As the Eagles fans chanted last week, “We love you Jerry” and why wouldn’t they?

Eagle fans, one ring, no history whatsoever, but we got one ring.
Talk about desperate eagle fans if the quarterback didn’t get drunk the night before the Super Bowl.
Maybe they could’ve had two lol . And if Jalen didn’t choke against the Chiefs, maybe they could’ve had three. They won the Super Bowl with the backup quarterback, if that doesn’t tell you, how screwed up the league is.
