Brace yourself for sitting out another offseason.

It is really unbelievable.
One day, mass apathy will set in worse than the late 80s, early 00s. My hope is when it is Jerry's time, as it will be for all of us at some point, he is in his hospice bed watching Thursday night game vs the Jaguars with 10% in the stands sitting on a 9-7 record, win and in game and getting beat28-0 in the first quarter.

Then the Cowboys can truly become the Stephen Jones led Div 2 team they are destined to be. led by 5th rd QB Jalen Milroe

Why are other teams able to hit those switches Jerry who also have the highest position on the roster at QB?

After we make Parsons the highest paid non QB in the league we will be limited .

And that’s assuming we let Lawrence and Martin walk amongst others.

Maybe we’ll even resign Lance after we let Rush walk, assuming he’ll be pursued by another team.
Nah. Restructure Dak and Ceedee and convert them to signing bonus, and you free up like 50m+. I did a max conversion and it leaves 80m.

I believe one of the Cowboys game this season was the top tv ratings game of the year?

No incentive, they got the dollars machine rolling, why make an effort to compete?

They don't want to win trophies, they are happy winning $$$

They can easily make up to $100 million this season

Even if Micah took up $50 you’d still have another $50 million to spend

Don’t even really need to do that as the cap figure on big contract are typically low in year one.

They just choose not to. It’s an excuse for not being qualified to be an actual GM and know the players around the league.

The Eagles have a QB with a contract almost as big as our QB's. Their top WR has a contract almost as much as Ceedee's and their #2 WR makes way more than all of our other WRs and TEs combined, and any other player on our team. They know they'll set the market with Jalen Carter in 2 years. Nothing stops Jones from throwing more $ out into the future but his own greed. Dickerson is the highest paid at his position. Yet the Eagles spend anyway. Jones has no defense. The Eagles have all that on their payroll, and they found enough space to give potenetial mvp Barkley $13m/yr.

They'll never do stuff like the Eagles are doing. They won't even fire a coach because they'd have to pay him for not doing the job. Dead money is like sin to the Joneses. They'll continue to use their top-heavy players as an excuse not to do it.

His non-NFL revenue shall never place him in a position of being cash strapped.
Compared to 99.9% of the population that's absolutely correct. Compared to the other 31 owners in the NFL though? That's where things start to get interesting, and while I don't truly know, I do suspect that Jerry doesnt have quite as much money as his reputation leads on. Despite having the #1 valued team in the NFL Jerry is only about 10 or so (it differs a little based on the source you go to) overall in personal valuation compared to the rest of the league. His biggest asset by far is the Cowboys. Do his non NFL investments produce enough revenue to supplement what he can borrow against the Cowboys?

Philly has just over $1.1B in cash commitments on the books right now for their players and just sold a minority stake in the franchise to raise $600M. Dallas has about $900M in cash commitments. Its possible they might be about tapped out financially unless Jerry looks to actually start selling assets or bring in minority ownership groups.

And they’ll fire their head coach if he doesn’t win the Super Bowl even though he has another year left on his contract. MM will have a losing record and get a new deal. It’s just two different philosophies.

Always love the argument of being afraid of future issues with the cap…I mean could you imagine how awful it would be if we got to a spot where we had a roster that couldn’t win playoff games?? The travesty that would be

Instead we get stuck in the purgatory of mediocrity without ever actually attempting to go all in, or even remotely close
