Jerry on idea of creating cap space this offseason

I don’t mind punting on a season if it means being a part of a plan to have a better shot to win moving ahead.

But two? That’s essentially a rebuild in this league. If you’re going to do that, do it properly. Trade vets for future picks, etc.

These two are all over the map and have no plan. It’s seems to be about taking half measures with two situations. Probably due to the multi-GM thing….you get your way this time, I get my way next time.

Yeah, I’ve just lost all confidence in the two clowns. They either aren’t interested in winning or don’t know how.

Drafts alone don’t cut it. They had a decent roster in 21-23 and didn’t add to it as needed.

They have to literally be the best drafting team in league history for their plan to work. I don’t see that happening.

They are still going to have cap problems with Daks contract and pushing dead money down the road. Why not at least make a better attempt to win before he gets even worse?

Things not working out is one thing, that happens all over the league…but these two seem to be in way over their heads as far as managing the cap and building a winning roster.

They act as if having a bad season would send them to the chair, yet they are inevitable anyway. Just makes no sense, but don’t try to tell them that.

Nah. Restructure Dak and Ceedee and convert them to signing bonus, and you free up like 50m+. I did a max conversion and it leaves 80m.

I hope the Cowboys suffer record losses financially and Dak becomes a warning for teams who pay poor talent too much.

The Eagles have a QB with a contract almost as big as our QB's. Their top WR has a contract almost as much as Ceedee's and their #2 WR makes way more than all of our other WRs and TEs combined, and any other player on our team. They know they'll set the market with Jalen Carter in 2 years. Nothing stops Jones from throwing more $ out into the future but his own greed. Dickerson is the highest paid at his position. Yet the Eagles spend anyway. Jones has no defense. The Eagles have all that on their payroll, and they found enough space to give potenetial mvp Barkley $13m/yr.

That takes too much effort for our GM. Lol

Yes and no. If Cowboy fans had called the 12 win team a fraud and stayed away in droves Jethro might have got the message.

But too many believed until they choked in the end.

Jerry don't understand.....Dak don't need to be elite.......this team needs pieces, OL, though getting better of late, RB (but we'll probably lose Dowdle), WR2 (anybody) and work on the D.......no team can survive starters walking out the door without replacing them....at least some of them. As an example, Joe Burrow is elite and we see how holes on that team are too much to overcome. We need to be good. The haters have been hoodwinked.
