Jerry on idea of creating cap space this offseason

Jerry don't understand.....Dak don't need to be elite.......this team needs pieces, OL, though getting better of late, RB (but we'll probably lose Dowdle), WR2 (anybody) and work on the D.......no team can survive starters walking out the door without replacing them....at least some of them. As an example, Joe Burrow is elite and we see how holes on that team are too much to overcome. We need to be good. The haters have been hoodwinked.
But that’s a big part of the problem and philosophy is he thinks he has enough and isn’t overly interested in building or complimenting thru FA.

His belief is building or developing within from the draft and prior drafts picks . He was burned too many times in prior seasons to step out too far in FA. He sees FA as more of a clearance or fire sale.

Stepping out for old veterans who have seen their best years like Brandon Cooks is about as far as he is willing to go in acquiring real help or talent in FA .

They really think people are so cap ignorant that they can continue to tell fans the same thing every offseason.

Sorry, Jerry and Stephen, your fan base and the media are onto you. The blame for 2024 is squarely on your shoulders for doing zero in the offseason. Just like 2025 will be squarely on both of you once you pull the inactive offseason in 2025.

Jerry invented the salary cap for the nfl in 1994. It was his idea. But He don’t know how to use it. He has never learned.
It is not that he has never learned. It is that he has been cash > winning his entire ownership.

Jerry wants to win but if there is a conflict between money and winning, money wins.

People still eat up Jerry's politico.

Jerry made his bed and must now lie in it…..
This is the ugly reality. And his chickens are coming home to roost.
If we were having a favorite beverage with ol Jerruh right now, he'd tell us about how "the 6-8 record is mainly due to all the injuries to key players, the nucleus of the team is outstanding." He'd rhapsodize how "the staff we've assembled is among the best. We're right there. The future's bright," blah blah.

Jerry's a salesman. His pitch is talk, evasion, blowing smoke. If you still have high expectations of the guy, you might want to reconsider now.

So McCarthy and Zimmer get high grades this year and you can't really create room when you pay your QB.

These morons are really going to bring the band back again next year.
I can’t blame McCarthy and Zimmer the talent isn’t there. Last year we couldn’t stop the run and we ran into teams that could run on us. We have lamb and nothing else on offense.

True......but Jerry lets' starters leave and depend on another flaw......player development. That ain't working. As for cap......everybody up against the cap....49er's, Eagles, Lions will be.....but keep moving.

I was so dumbfounded when he signed Yak to this insane contract knowing full well that it would cripple this team from re signing his own good players for another 4 years.
We all just have to wait it out until both of them go away for this team to have any success moving forward.

Of course it’s not working. I’m just telling you why he’s doing it. Doesn’t have to make sense.

You have to marvel at the stupidity. They sit there and do nothing in the offseason while their division rival is ultra aggressive. Then they see that same rival at the top of the conference while they miss the playoffs and their response is to do more of their usual. They still know better.
Tell us how you really feel Ris! Lol

I responded to a post to you the other day that these stooges will bring it back and blame injuries. Like we won’t draft a RB for instance. Dowdle will be brought back at 3 million. Zimm and Mike back for 3 years. They are in a groove and won’t change. They don’t care about fans. They will spin it and shove down our throats injuries and high contracts. They are complete, and utterly the two biggest A holes in the entire NFL

Brace yourself for sitting out another offseason.

It is really unbelievable.
Just remember— as bad as Dak’s contract is— if Jerry had his way, we would have traded up for Paxton Lynch lol

We could be sitting here with Manziel or Lynch. It is crazy how bad he is as a GM lol

Let me one up Lynch.

Allegedly, right after making the Zack Martin selection Jerry got up and angrily snapped at Stephen and the rest of the room for not wanting to do what winners do and take a chance at greatness in Manziel.

I don't say it to be funny. When it comes to football, if you just do the opposite of whatever that moron wants to do you will be better off.

A senile elderly man in his 80s and a cackling buffoon assistant. Ruining America and it's team.
