Things have changed since Dak got paid. We valued WRs enough to trade a first round pick for Amari Cooper four years ago, then pay him. Despite Cooper being one of the top receivers in the game we moved on from him and we moved on from Cedrick Wilson who was a big contributor. With Dak only signing a 4 year deal it appears the Joneses want to see if he’s going to be worth a third contract. They want to see what he can do with the receivers he has. With QB and WR salaries skyrocketing it’s hard to pay both. Kansas City, Green Bay and the Cowboys are banking that their QB is good enough to make do with the receivers they have. The Joneses know the Cowboys have little shot at the Super Bowl this season, so they want to see what they want to do going forward with players like Dak, CeeDee and a few others.
