You all act like this Philly management strategy has been highly successful. They've been this way for a long time. They always get hyped off FAs and under perform.

In the last 20 years, they have made the playoffs 13 times, won 11 playoff games, made 5 NFC Champ games, 2 SBs, winning one.

In the last 20 years, the Cowboys have made the playoffs 8 times, won 3 playoff games, made zero NFC Champ games and haven't sniffed a SB.

Maybe it's just me, but we Cowboys fans shouldn't be talking smack about how another team's strategies have failed and they are often overhyped given our run over 2 decades.

Eagles improved drastically during this last off-season while we went down a couple notches. The Eagles are now heavily favored to win the division . I still think we match up well against them.

Dak had great games like Hurts did last night. And he did look much improved, for last night so far.
Then back to Earth later on with mediocre games for Dak, so it will be for Hurts also.

I mean Dak can't do it against a good defense vs. preying on weak defenses, garbage stats and all of that.
But Hurts did that last night and he is SB MVP now.
You know the typical double standards on here.

Evidently you missed what the Vikings defense did to Rodgers. I thought they were going to be all over Hurts. I have been critical and called Hurts a terrible QB but I was totally impressed with his arm and accuracy along with using his legs to get him away from trouble. Dak has regressed while Hurts has ascended.

Truth be told, Eagle fans talk smack A LOT compared to Dallas fans, and why cherry pick years to compare? In the last 60+ years, Dallas leads the head to head matchups by a large margin. Dallas also is superior in virtually every other category, including playoffs, Super Bowls, ratings, fanbase size, team value, etc.

We don’t usually start things, but we can certainly finish them.

The poster I responded to literally said two decades. So I used the time frame he introduced into the debate. He seemed to be making the point that for 20 years the Eagles have been a disappointment and their strategy stinks.

Well then how do you categorize our last 20 years?

I'm reading what Jerry said differently. To me JJ is just planning ahead and giving himself and Dak an out. No matter how great Rush plays over the next few weeks Dak is going to be our starting QB again asap.(JJ always plays his money players) Most likely the Eagles game is the game they are shooting for to bring Dak back. If Dak comes back and lays a turd and we get beat Jerry can say I told you weeks ago the Eagles were a very good team. If Dak plays well and the team pulls out a win then JJ makes Dak look great and any talk of any QB controversy is put to rest.
