If today doesn't show you how perilously thin we are at CB nothing will...

and as more teams use 3 WRs as a base set it is a necessity not a luxury

Pretty funny how Jerry sets people off. You do know that the only accurate info you get from Jerry about the draft is Monday after the draft.

Hasn't this been covered over and over?

we need a solid CB & S not losing two #1s for a RB who would be useless in this offense anyways.

On NFL Network just now, Deion asked Jerry about the future of the team and Jerry's reply was that we need some "wow." He said we've got two draft picks, and we don't need a QB, O-line, or anyone in the defensive front 7. He said we need a difference-making player on offense.

I love hearing this!

And don't forget, the new Arkansas OC is a former Dallas coach (TE's coach I think). Along with all of JJ's other Arkansas connections, I'm sure JJ will know EVERYTHING there is to know about DMac prior to the draft. He will probably be the "safest" pick in the draft in terms of how much JJ will know about him (ie. personality, attitude, work habits, off field behavior, mentality, football IQ, any weaknesses that coaches may be hiding, etc.).

McFadden/Jonathan Stewart

Bernard Berrian

that would do it for me

Stewart is going to be a legit NFL back and he won't cost us the ranch to get him.
A Stewart/Barbarian combo would be just deadly.
Berrian would be nice also.

Well, Jerry inquired last year what it would take to get up to the #2 spot to take Calvin Johnson and that was without 2 #1 picks. You can bet he will look to see what it costs to get up to McFadden territory.

Jerry is probably looking at the Pats and thinking he needs to be able to compete with them. He sees what offensive explosiveness means in today's NFL and he realizes we are extremely close to being a SB winning team. Jerry probably believes we are one or two players away from being dominant so he is thinking it's now time to go for it!!

You know, I was thinking almost the same thing. But I would say we need a homerun hitter in the running game. That would really help our QB.

But even more on the defensive side we need some stud CB to help the dline go from very good to possiblygreat.

Overall, the team needs one homerun hitter in the O and one strong CB. Then the boys are superbowl ready every year.

But gosh darn we are so lucky to have Romo.
But gosh darn we are so lucky to have Ware.

Forget McFadden. We don't have the ammunition to get him. And the Jets or Dolphins are likely to take him anyway.

The offensive playmaker Jerry is looking at is Jones. As in Felix Jones. The kid is more versatile than McFadden, and we won't have to give up the farm to get him.

What this offense is missing to make it completely devastating is a running back who can give you 1200-1500 yards a season... I love Marion Barber, but I don't care for this running back by committee approach, and I'm not sure that with his reckless, headbanging running style, Barber can last a full 16 game season...

My dream would be a true power back, a 230 pound plus sledgehammer... a guy you can give the ball to 30 times on a wet, windy, cold day when the passing game is problematic...

And yes, I know the Boys are getting a little long in the tooth at WR, and hope the Boys bring in some youth at the position in the upcoming offseason... but to me, priority 1 should be to make the running game more potent... that will in turn make it even easier to throw the ball, which of course the Boys already do pretty well...

Of course I could be wrong. But I just don't see any way we end up with D. McFadden.
