The way Jerry made that statement, it sounds as if he knows something that we don't.

Tampering charges? or that only the nba

On NFL Network just now, Deion asked Jerry about the future of the team and Jerry's reply was that we need some "wow." He said we've got two draft picks, and we don't need a QB, O-line, or anyone in the defensive front 7. He said we need a difference-making player on offense.

McFadden means Wow.

He is that good.

But does Jerry give even more gifts to the offense?
Does he split the difference and get some defensive help?
Does he draft a sorely needed blue chip WR because of TO.'s age and Glenn's uncertainty?
I think he gets intoxicated with visions of McFadden dancing in his head. :)

I'm kind of diggin' WR Adarius Bowman from OSU. He could be available to us. And I'd like a CB, too. If no top CB is available, I'd start looking for Roy Williams' replacement.

We also need to be looking to trade Bobby Carpenter to somebody for something we can actually use ....

Adarius Bowman is the closest thing to TO since...well TO. He is a virtual TO clone. He has the same size, speed, and play making ability. He's going to drop a little in the draft due to having failed a drug test his freshman year in college (before he transferred to OSU), and he's missed most of this season with a sprained knee. If you go and look at his vids posted on youtube, you can see he looks and plays almost identical to TO. Furthermore, his size is identical to Oklahoma's WR (cant remember his name), except Bowman has a lot more athletic ability. If we can't get DMac, I'd love to leave the 1st rd with FelixJones/R.Rice and Bowman. Can you imagine having 2 TOs on the field opposite each other? WOW, that's scary!

Brandon Marshall will be the next TO, if there is a next TO.

Not 'give' away, TRADE. Package of picks and players.

Especially if Jerry can get Jason Taylor included with Dolphin's 1st round pick.

Not a long shot if you are paying attention to what is going on in Miami.

TRADE:

Dallas trades:

2008 first rounder (not necessarily Cleveland's)
SS Roy Williams
DL Marcus Spears
LB Bobby Carpenter
DE Anthony Spencer
2009 first rounder
2010 2nd rounder

Dolphins trade:

2008 first rounder
OLB Jason Taylor
2009 4th rounder

=======

Dallas is trading youth and quantity to Miami which they are in dire need of PLUS Dallas is trading 3 (possibly 4) proven starters for ONE. 6 first rounders for 2, (if you consider that Taylor is the equivalent of one).

Ware, Taylor and Ellis would be much more effective than Ware, Spencer and Ellis and should be stellar for another 2 years, or 4. Draft another pass rusher to groom behind this QB killing triumphvirate.

I like Roy (a lot), but Hamlin and Watkins with be just fine with Ware, Ellis and Taylor terrorizing QBs.

Dallas can draft McFadden and a WR (although my preference is to woo Randy Moss to play opposite Owens and draft a stud CB).

There will be some pretty good WRs and CBs available in the 2nd. Corners like Reggie Smith or Rogers-Cromartie.
So what u are say is give up RW 5 time Pro bowler- former top 10 pick
Spears- former top 20 pick 3 years ago
Carp-1st round pick last season
Spencer- 1st round pick this year
2008 1st rounder
2009 1st rounder
2010 2nd rounder to Miami for the #1 and Jason Taylor, hmm take out RW, Spencer and 1st rounder 2009 they have a deal.

You'd be in favor of trading 4 former first round selections, a '09 first and a '10 second for a '08 first, aging vet Jason Taylor and a '09 fourth?

Hell no!

Super Bowl contenders need not ravage their own roster for one single premium draft choice, that's a desperation move for a desperate organization.

If we want to move up, we'll do it with draft picks, not that I see that taking place.

With Cleveland's choice not being as high as expected, it wouldn't shock me to see us try the same thing again if the situation arises.

But we are so good now, all we need to do is take care of our own free agents and add as much talent as possible with this years draft class.

Cornerback and running back should be definite day one targets.

If both teams talked about compensation for a possible trade for top pick next year, it is not tampering.

Tampering would be working on a contract with Asante Samuel while he is still under contract to Pats.

Exactly. Just like if the Pats gave us permission to talk to Samuel, That would not be tampering. You can't tamper with picks, LOL that is just rediculous to even sugest.

Jerry's "wow" guy is.....Michael Turner, UFA RB (Chargers).....We can then use both 1st rounders for defense..... :D

Jerry's "wow" guy is a backup RB that will want a top 5 RB contract? No thanks.

2008 Cowboys draft:
1A. Reggie Smith, DB, Oklahoma (6-0, 200)
1B. Adarius Bowman, WR, Oklahoma St. (6-4, 220)
2. Frank Okam, NT/DT, Texas (6-5, 320)
3. Ezra Butler, LB, Nevada (6-1, 250)
4. Dennis Dixon, QB, Oregon (6-3, 200)

*12/3/07 - Yeah, I'm kinda bored right now...

I would not mind Smith at all as I saw him play in the Big 12 Championship Sat....that guy is very good.
