wow once again, a jerry supporter who doesnt have a leg to stand on..

make an argument for things to stay the way they are and then throw your insults.

as soon as you can make an argument for jerry You will have my attention.

Good luck.

Dont get all sad panda on us Theebs because I don't support you.

I think you feel you have all the answers and god #@%$ the rest of us. You haven't a clue as to what goes on behind those walls, just like all the rest of us joes. You rail on this club and coaches like you are the second coming of Parcells himself. You want to dance out here like you know exactly what needs to be done w/ this club every single week.

Excuse me while I call a BS'r a BS'r.

You honestly can sit there and think for 1 second that Jerry FREAKIN Jones is going away as the GM of the Cowboys? Oh and im not supporting him. Im a realist, unlike you. There lays a huge difference tween you and I and how we support this team.

You crow like cutting all these high priced primadonnas is going to magically take us to Disney Land. Unbelievable. I think you said you could care less if this team won as long as Owens wasn't here. We all know the hatred you have for the individual. You bring it up in nearly every post you place here.

So I really don't need your attention. The Cowboys seem to have it all on themselves w/ your ranting and raving nature.

I could also care less about it.

Again - another difference.

Didn't Wade Phillips say it is impossible to tell how a team will play based off of how well they practice?

Yes and so has some other coaches and former player. Ismail was saying the other day that sometimes teams get a false sense based off practice because practice is a controlled environment and games are not.

I've noticed today, and I'm as guilty of this as anyone so I need to apply this to myself as well, that there are way to many people around here who think their opinions, or answers, for things are the be all end all and that anyone else with a differing opinion of what is right, or wrong, or indifferent about this team is just plain wrong.

I think we could all use a little does of humility and realise that not one of us on these boards actually has a real clue as to what is the right, or wrong, way to go about doing business in the NFL be it as an owner, coach, whatever.

If any of us could make better coaching decisions, and be a better NFL coach, we'd be doing that rather than sitting around arguing on an internet message board about it.

If any of us could actually be a smarter, better, GM than some of the guys in the league, Jerry included, we'd be a GM in the league somewhere, not sitting at our desks talking about how much more we know than the guys doing the jobs.

It's very easy for us all, and again I include myself in this, to Monday Morning QB decisions and have the benefit of hindsight on ourside to piss all over people.

Most importantly I think we just need to remember to respect on anothers thoughts on topics (Unless they're insane like the trade Witten ones or the get rid of Romo for Vick ones) cause no one has a more right, or wrong, answer than anyone else around here.

I love the cowboys but it is just a game a person life at least to me means more than any game. I am a supporter of Jerry but I have been on record at times of disagreeing with moves Jerry has made such as getting TO and Pacman I was not really on board when he took a chance on Leonard Davis but that seemed to pan out pretty well for us and when looking at the draft even this past one it is hard to believe that even Jerry critics can't see this was a very good draft for the Cowboys and done without BP or Ireland in place.

20 years?

How about the last 2 years?

The guy is a life time loser as a Head Coach and was likely not going to get another shot at Head Coaching job in the NFL.

How do you field a team with Terrell Owens, Roy Williams, Tony Romo, 2 Pro Bowlers on the Offensive Line, Demarcus Ware with 20 Sacks, Bradie James who had a Pro Bowl Season and a defense that was supposedly coming on strong and get blown the heck out 44-6?

The Dallas Cowboys quit on Wade Phillips.

Not sure how anyone can deny this.

Last time I checked, Jason Garrett had full control over this offense, was named Assistant Head Coach for this specific purpose. The defense played well when Wade took over, the offense sucked and played inconsistent all year.
Maybe the team quit on Garrett...

Was it a very good draft? Felix on IR, Skandric no big deal, maybe good maybe not. Bennett I love. Who am I missing?

This is a real problem. Jerry has to fix the problems the old fashioned way rather than just cut players and fire coaches.

Unfortunately, Jerry got us into this mess. The big contract he gave Roy Williams (not to mention pissing away a first-round draft choice) was very Galloway-esque in its stupidity and the damage it will ultimately do to this team.

Owens is NOT a team player -- he is a whiny little beatch who makes it hard to put forth a team concept. This has directly hurt Romo's progress because he has to worry about throwing to a specific number, rather than just throwing to a guy wearing the same colored jersey. There is a reason Owens' teams have nearly always underachieved. It is not coincidence, it is not chance. Even when he has decent stats, as he did in this last game and in his one SB appearance, it does not offset the bigger problem -- he is not a player that will ever become part of a team concept. He might do well, but the rest of the team falters for it. Parcells was absolutely right about this guy.

Guys that HAVE to go: Roy Williams, Pacman Jones (not because he is one sniff away from permanent banishment, but because he's just NOT GOOD.), Terrell Owens.

What this team should have done: Play out the season, do NOT sign Roy Williams, do NOT give Owens an extension. Sign Anquan Boldin in the offseason, since it was BLATANTLY OBVIOUS the Cards would not be able to hold onto him after this season.

Unfortunately, Jerry made ALL the wrong moves and we will suffer for a long time because of it.

When you have the QB and the star WR saying what they said about the scheme.

Something certainly doesn't smell like roses where Garretts concerned w/ them.

The only problem is that the Defense quit at the end of the Ravens game and definately were no shows against the Eagles.

Dallas, I agree with what you are saying as well.

I believe Jason Garrett could be even more of a joke than Wade Phillips.

Terrell Owens questioned his schemes and eventually Tony Romo went down that road as well.

And our vaunted offense did soooooooooooooooooooo much to help the defense out.

Just how long was our defense on the field during that game?

Sometimes the offense has to help. The defense has kept our offense in many games over the past 4 or 5.

Sooner or later an offense needs to bring its lunchbox and go to work.

Sputter - 3 and out - sputter 3 and out - sputter - 3 and out.

It was a cycle. A nightmarish cycle at that.

But I agree. Our defense sure didnt help out during the end of that game. /cry

TO's contract isnt the real problem, at least he performs on the field.

Being stuck with guys like Flozell and Hamlin is the bigger issue.

on the Ticket. Basically said that the big contracts and bonuses on the books will keep him from cutting any big contracts.

He specifically used TO as an example and said, "if I cut him, the bonus accelerates onto the cap and then I don't have room to sign Ware."

Basically sounded like he was holding Ware over the fans heads and saying that, if I cut guys because you fans think there are chemistry issues, you don't get your shiny toy on defense.

He also said that the coaches will not be replaced and that there will be about 30% turnover on the roster (just not any of the big contracts or big signing bonus guys).

Ware is a little bit more than simply a shiny toy on defense. Anyone that draws a triple team in blocking is someone that I'd like rushing the passer.

Completely agree. We didn't put the Ravens in a position where they would have to go out of their gameplan in order to score or keep up. They were able to stick with their plan - score enough points, shut us down with their defense, and then just run the football until the clock hit 0:00.
