Either Bradberry or Slay, Sanders, Kelce, Seamalo, Cox, Graham, Edwards or White, Epps or Gardner Johnson… Maybe all of the last 4 if they find a way of keeping Hargrave… that doesn’t get into the key Minchew Scott etc!
They will keep slay and ditch Brad.

Sanders gone (it was all OLine and threat of Hurts anyway)

Edwards will stay..not white.
They'll spend to keep CJGJ. Epps just is ok...nobody will overpay him. Hargrave will stay.... Eagles don't break bank on guards or RBs,

Will be interesting to see if kelce retires.

Kelce is already an 11.1m cap hit for next season and FA. They took a center 2nd I believe in last years draft or year before!

They are borrowing from future, knowing the salary cap will keep ballooning up. They essentially playing under the salary cap 2 years in the future. It will only "catch up to them" if the salary cap is held steady.
Sure, they have a lot of dead money, but that dead money only looks like a lot now. 2 years from now, which is where they'd be borrowing it from, it won't seem like that much then. Kinda like QB contracts from years ago SEEMED like a lot then, but seem cheap now.
Looking at their 2023 cap they have 71m in cap space allocated to players who, as it stands now, will be no longer be on the team. They can reduce that by extending some of them, ie Hargrove, but that is a lot. I’m not really sure of the different ways they could handle the voided years.

His contract automatically voids after this season! They reallygoing to want to deal with this crap during the year they have to resign or franchise their QB. As old as he is they’d be better off releasing him and using what cap savings they get to resign Bradberry!
I was not aware of that.

Not from you they don’t. And we both know why.
I don’t understand how you can still have this attitude after thus many years of futility. It’s almost like you have a religious attitude towards the Jones. I don’t get it.

Interesting article on voidable years. If I’m reading this properly, for every guy with voidable years who does not sign an extension, the voided years part of his signing bonus hits immediately…so the Eagles will be hit with a 71m cap charge if they don’t resign those guys.

That really gives the individual players a lot of leverage though. For example if Slay’s agent says pay me a top contract for three years or he walks, then the eagles either pay up that contract or eat the 26m in 2023 and still have to replace him .
https://www.theringer.com/platform/...e-agency-tom-brady-taysom-hill-voidable-years

But looking. At it another way, if they extend all of those guys they could actually increase their available cap space while keeping all of those guys.

If Jerry was willing to use voidable years, he could spend a ton this off season… I should not get my hope up lol.

They didn't go all in for one year. They just got more creative than Jerry's let's-run-it-back-again plan.

They've got a bunch of draft picks, including two first this year. Jerry was just talking out of an oriface.
Jerry was rationalizing another dismal showing in the playoffs.

He wasnt even right about the Rams. If you see the Superbowl shot, you take it. If the Cowboys went to the Superbowl and lost 38/35, no one on this forum would be crying about why we bet it all in one year. Just loser talk.

At least one member in this forum would have said it.

It will be interesting what happens with the Hurts extension at 50 million per year and how it affects their cap.

Slay is under contract
Cox, Sanders, White, Epps are all most likely gone.
Eagles will try to sign CJGJ, Seamalo, Edwards and maybe Hargrave but I think he’ll be too expensive.
Minshew is also gone.

You don’t go all in for one year

Lmao
well, at least they were there. the point is if you don't get there you don't get a chance. Eagles certainly had a chance. they came close. so would you rather play each year, long term as Jerry called it and lose in the first or second round of playoffs. or go all in ala Rams or Eagles, perhaps win it (rams) or at least be there.

jerry is stupid.
