The same way will always remember the 4 missed fgs...I will remember the 2 straight 65 yard fgs after the ref screwed him.
Unless you're the Raven's kicer, Tucker.......Kickers know they're a few kicks away from packing bags. No secret there.Maher had 1 bad game, Jerry has to get that fixed...Zeke has 6 or 7 poor performances he's great, Dak throws a pick or two a game let's extend his contract. Proof jersey sells are the stats Jerry looks at.
Best post all dayToo bad we can't start over at GM
You get a like for best humor postEBAY
Yes, however it didn't cost us anything thank goodness. Can we admit now this was one of the all-time choke jobs in sports?
Lol! He went from sugar plums and 5m contracts in his head, to just hoping to beat out someone in someone else’s camp. See no reason in bothering with this head case of a kicker for a 3rd season!Starting over doesn’t mean it won’t be Maher.
The dude had a great year and never struggled until the refs messed with his holder right before the playoff game. He hit his final kicks vs SF. Unless someone beats him out, it’s silly to just cast him aside.
He could be in camp but I don’t see how he will ever recover from this.Good.
I still feel bad for Maher. Great season, those awesome 60+ yard field goals… and then his career is just absolutely obliterated over the course of a few minutes.
His career has to be over, right? Who else is going to sign the guy that missed 4 easy field goals in the playoffs?
It’s a dumb point. Sometimes Maher is great and sometimes he misses a historic number of EXTRA points. He can’t be trusted. And his miss against San Fran at one point prevented us from settling for a tying field goal: we were 4 points behind instead of the 3 it should have been. Yah, Let’s go in to the playoffs again next year with an Inconsistent kicker. When Jerry sees the basic problem and solution more clearly than you do…not sure what to tell you.Good point. We are quick to remember the disaster against Tamps, but also quick to forget how great Maher was the rest of the season. Nothing wrong with keeping all options on the table. It will be interesting to see what Maher's market looks like though. I can understand Jerry letting the guy walk if another team wants to pay him top 10 Kicker money.
Too bad we can't start over at GM
1. New Coordinator "check"
2. New Play Caller "check"
3. New Kicker "check"
4. Draft QB "check"
5. Retain Quinn "check"
So far, I don't see the problem. We've been wanting these things, so now that he's doing it, we're still miserable.
Who is we, hound dog? I'm not miserable...?
do you have a mouse in your pocket....
uuh... yes it doesStarting over doesn’t mean it won’t be Maher.

Yeah, except now that we telegraphed it some team’s smarter GM will leapfrog us and take our guyLooks like we know where that 1st round pick is being spent.
Nah I think you're missing the point. Has nothing to do with identifying a problem, and everything to do with not over simplifying the solution. Maher had a 90% FG percentage and a 94% XP percentage with 9 kicks made over 50 yards. That's either elite category or next tier down. I fully understand there is a trust issue after the Tampa game, but this narrative that you just change kickers and get better results is ridiculous as really reliable NFL kickers are actually somewhat tough to come by.It’s a dumb point. Sometimes Maher is great and sometimes he misses a historic number of EXTRA points. He can’t be trusted.
