Came back after a career with Dallas where he became the all time leading rusher, won an MVP, and helped us win three championships. Just like zeke....

I dont have issue 1 with Zeke being considered. His numbers reflect that he should be. he was incredible for 3 years, in large part due to the line but the same can be said for emmitt. I do however believe it being a topic of conversation now is a bit premature. This shouldnt be a topic of conversation till zeke hangs up the cleats.

I also think one jimmy johnson belongs in there before but Jerry dont care to much for my thoughts. I hated the pick when it happened i hated the hold out and subsequent pay day but I do think Zeke gave alot for this organization. I think with the line we had a number of backs could have done what he did but he gets alot of flack from fans when I believe Moore had has much to do with his demise as his running style. Well maybe not

Justify Zeke's numbers being RoH worthy. He had a decent career, not a great one.

honestly i dont need to justify squat to you but Ill post this link and let you noodle on it. @blueblood70 gets a little over emotional when it comes to zeke along with a few other but he has a point here when he talks about the stats Zeke put up. I also think he meant alot to the coeboys in those early years

Actually Jerry has a point. Put Zeke on those 90s teams, he would win 2 if not 3 SBs as well.

If Zeke is truly in consideration for the ROH...then what Troy said is true. This has become Jerry's ROH instead of the Dallas Cowboys ROH.
It's already true. That said, Zeke probably deserves to be in the ROH, too.

I really don’t get the love Jerry has for Zeke. He claimed he’s more emotional about Zeke’s return than he was when Emmitt returned. Emmitt played almost twice as long in Dallas than Zeke and helped lead the Cowboys to three Super Bowl wins. There wasn’t a single off the field issue with him. Although there was no real solid proof, Zeke got suspended for 6 games for assaulting his girlfriend. His suspension cost the Cowboys their season in 2017. There was another incident with a security guard that was caught on video that caused a distraction. He had a few real good seasons with the Cowboys, but didn’t have near the career or impact on the team that Emmitt had. Zeke is being considered for the ROH. Jerry isn’t making much sense these days.

put any back with any talent on those 90s teams and you have multiple super bowls. Demarco murray, hershel walker, tony pollard etc. That line was best all time

My God. If Zeke gets into the ROH before Jimmy (or at all). I think I would be done with this franchise.
Half of Cowboys Nation, if news came out Zeke was getting ROH before the architect of 90’s dynasty.

I see people are still disrespecting Emmitt. I get it from opposing fans who always say that Emmitt was nowhere near as great as Barry Sanders and others. Those people are wrong but deep down they know who the man was on this team in the 90’s.

I never expected such disrespect from the owner of the team. Mentioning Zeke in the same breath as Emmitt is down right disrespectful and just ridiculous.

In fairness, used to hear same thing about Emmitt a lot, especially from former linemen.

Barry Sanders is only back I choose with a broken Oline.

For goodness sake Jerry! This kind of crap is why our luck has been poor for the last 27 years! Get over yourself, and put Jimmy in the ROH! This is why the Cowboys are cursed ATM. I'm glad that Zeke is getting consideration, but put Jimmy in PLEASE!

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @1053thefan compared it to Emmitt Smith coming back to face the Cowboys while with the Cardinals when talking about Ezekiel Elliott playing Sunday at AT&T Stadium. Jones said he was holding out hope before Elliott signed with the Patriots that he'd return to the Cowboys. Jones also said Elliott is someone that will be considered for the Ring of Honor. "Zeke had a lift to it for the whole franchise."

Yep. Someone with a normal ego or an egomaniac is capable of this. People see this sort of thing happen with folks like that in their lives ALL the time. Right?

Not really. Normal egos and even egomaniacs do not carry grudges from their fifties into their eighties and highly likely to their grave. Most egos and egomaniacs bend. They bury hatchets. Certainly, they do not tell friends, peers, professional associates, etc.--and a national television audience to boot--they are going to do something, do not do it, and then actually do it or something similar for other people instead.

Narcissist.
