Wow could they possibly set the bar any lower? Jerry and his family of morons need to realize the Dallas Cowboys started in 1960 not 1989. This dudes ego has ruined this franchise, I don't care that he's won 3 super Bowls, the cowboys were the barometer for other franchises. Now all they are doing is living off the past.

Honestly, the lift in his suite is so big because it's the only thing that can fit his massive head trying to get into his box.

Luckily, they don’t put busts on those banners; otherwise, Zeke wouldn’t fit :muttley:

Anyways Jerry, Zeke doesn’t come close to accomplishing what Emmitt did. I think he might be goating JJ here….

After giving it some thought, there is a case to be made for Zeke to maybe be in the ROH someday.

He's statistically the third best Cowboys RB of all time. Don Perkins, who is in the ROH, has about 2,000 yards less rushing than Zeke.

However, all things considered - any player in the history of the Cowboys getting in before Jimmy is simply criminal.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @1053thefan compared it to Emmitt Smith coming back to face the Cowboys while with the Cardinals when talking about Ezekiel Elliott playing Sunday at AT&T Stadium. Jones said he was holding out hope before Elliott signed with the Patriots that he'd return to the Cowboys. Jones also said Elliott is someone that will be considered for the Ring of Honor. "Zeke had a lift to it for the whole franchise."

Shut up, you babbling fool.

I was a huge Zeke fan from about 2016-2019. One of my favorite players on the team at the time.

But he doesn't belong in the same sentence as Emmitt. Hell, not even the same paragraph. These two things are not the same.
Not necessarily Zeke's fault. Another NFL career ruined.

And but of course Zeke isn't on par anyway...very few are.

Zeke had 3 good years. He has been declining ever since he held out and got paid. He and a couple other guys completely broke the running back market when they got huge contracts and didn't live up to them.

He always had off the field issues/distractions when he was good because he could get away with it. But once he started declining he straightened up.

I don't question how good of a locker room guy and teammate he was. But he should never sniff the ring of honor.

Zeke's Cowboys stats: 10,598 total yards from scrimmage, 80 TD's in 7 Seasons. Average 1514 yards per season, 11.4 TD's per season. 102.6 ypg, 0.75 TD per game.

Maybe that is Ring of Honor worthy.

Don Perkins is in the Cowboys Ring of Honor. His career stats: 7527 total yards from scrimmage and 45 TD's in 8 seasons. Average 941 yards and 5.6 TD's per season; 70.3 ypg, 0.42 TD per game.

One big reason why Jerry wants Zeke in the ROH?

He believes it will then justify his mistake of using a Top 5 pick on a TB and then handing a massive, but idiotic, contract. That's it. By putting Elliott in the ROH, Jerry believes that shows what a great pick Elliott was. Because at the end of the day, what Jerry really wants is people believing he is a top flight GM, a real football guy.

I'm sure he got him a nice corsage for Sunday! They can walk out of the tunnel together hand in hand. This is nothing like Emmitt Smith coming back.

I’m not sure why Elliott is so bashed by some Cowboys fans ?

He’s no doubt our best and most productive RB since Emmitt.

The superstar treatment and complete overvalue from the front office. It's been pretty nauseating for years now. They'll trip over themselves every chance they get to blow smoke about how great he is and how important he was to a franchise that never won anything. Somehow he played a vital role in that.

Perkins played over his career 14 game schedules and spent time at full back. Dont think this is a great comp. Plus the it was an expansión team and a bottom dweller half of Perkins career.
