I wouldn't be okay with it or happy about it. It would suck. Without question.

But nothing is going to keep me from being a Dallas Cowboys fan. I've been one my whole life and I'll be one till the day I die. No amount of bad seasons, bad players, bad choices, stupid owners comments or decisions, or anything will ever change that.
Ive been a fan long enough that i probably wouldnt be able to leave. The tattoo may be hard to be removed as well. I would just be very angry.

I know most people dont read to much into what Jerry says anymore, but something he said stood out. The part when he stated he wants "Romo to CONTRIBUTE" to a Superbowl. This could mean many things.
1)Helping Dak progress and win one for the team (this is my hope)
2)Forces Romo into the lineup if we make it to the Bowl.

Lots of you will say im crazy for thinking Jerry would be that insane to throw Romo into the Superbowl game. Let me remind you, this is Jerry we are talking about here. This is the same guy that has done very detrimental things to this team to just say "He knows football".

Does this concern anyone else? Or am i just over thinking and freaking out for no reason? Personally i think if Dak takes this team to the Superbowl, no way he can be benched, but this is Jerry.

For the record, i am not predicting a Superbowl appearance by any means. I am just stating what i think is going thru Jerry's Johnny Walker blue soaked brain. Like who says this? In case Dak has a health issue? Jesus Jerry enough with the jinxing. And how is doing what gives us the best chance to have TONY contribute to a championship best for the team? I am just so concerned this man is going to screw this up somehow.

Rant over

https://www.all22.com/dallas-cowboys/jerry-jones-wants-tony-romo-ready-contribute-championship

“I want to do what gives us the best chance to have Tony contribute to a championship,” Jones said. “I do want Tony to be ready to go in case that Dak should have an issue health wise, and that gives us strength going into the playoffs.”

He'll bring in Romo to kneel out the final minute of the Super Bowl. Everybody wins.

I think we need to just let Jerry talk...
I tend to think he'd like Romo to be part of a SuperBowl team, I think we all would, just as we all want Witten to win a SuperBowl, and there is nothing wrong with that, both Romo and Witten have been great Cowboys, never complained, just went about doing their best to help this team win, unfortunately, father time has caught up with Romo ...
I'm not sure after only playing 5 games in nearly 2 years and being injured long term in 3 of those games how much can be expected from Romo this year. I would like to clinch HFA as early as possible so they can get him some game action just in case he's needed.
After this year, Romo will probably either be retired, released or traded...

I am not sure I would freak out. If for some crazy reason Jerry pulled a Buffalo Bills owner and made Garrett start Romo in the playoffs, he'd probably do just fine until he got hurt again and then it would be right back to Dak.

I already said I may be over reacting. Thanks for adding to the conversation.

I'm not exactly sure what you want Jerry to fill his entire radio show with then. Because if you react like this to that, you're going to overblow anything he says.

Maybe his vision is for Tony to go in on the last play and orchestrate the Landry Shift as the Cowboy world erupts....

If Dak leads this team to a Superbowl he should get the start. A rookie leading a team to a superbowl is unheard of and I don't care of Romo wants to come in for 1 series and let Dak play the rest......the only way I let Romo play is maybe a series in the 2nd or 3rd quarter but most likely not. Nothing against Romo but it's Dak team and if he gets us to the big game then he should continue like any other game.
I don't think anyone, including Jerry would want anything else
But if Dak is injured getting Tony some reps in these next few games could prove huge
Don't think Jerry was talking about benching Dak for Tony in any playoff or super bowl

You OWE Romo the chance to start and win the Super Bowl. Honor. Loyalty. Sacrifice.

Er,,,ah,,,er,,,,I almost hit the like button but like any luv affair that's went south ,the lack of contact and time away (about 18 months,,,, trust me on that) has cooled the once burning passion to see ROMO under center, employing patented romodini moves and BURNING DOWN THE ENEMIES MAN COVERAGE DEEP DOWN FIELD!,,,, ROMO luv rant,OVER!

But if I don't listen how will I know if the jinx is in effect? Does the jinx take a certain number of listeners, or does it only work if I hear it? What if I read about it but don't hear it myself? If I have to hear it myself for the jinx to actually work, does that mean I'm actually doing the jinxing by listening?

So many questions, I wonder if there is a college course on this. There seems to be enough material.

This seems like a thread that probably should have lasted about 3 posts.
