What is interesting IMO, is that the truth is so rarely expressed in the NFL nowAdays that when it is it's truly noteworthy. When Jerrah says that he can't get Tebow on the field, he may be in a drunken rage, but he is right.

In our particular situation, how could he in any other capacity besides QB that would matter? What TE?

So ya, he's borracho, but he was honest and that's one of the many aspects that makes this amazing.

Again, IMO, his comments about Parcells reflect his acumen as a businessman.

Should he be drinking to excess with college kids? No.

Does it happen on occasion? Yes.

Would I have liked to be there at the time having a beer? Yes!

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones "bashes" Parcells and Tebow with colorful language.


Cowboys owner-general manager Jerry Jones could have some explaining to do to former Cowboys coach Bill Parcells and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

The Web site ********.com on Tuesday posted a 47-second amateurish video in which a free-talking Jones used colorful language to describe Parcells and draft-eligible quarterback Tim Tebow. It appears Jones was secretly filmed, and the men questioning him in a public setting could not be identified.

Jones was ambivalent about Parcells, saying, "He's not worth a [expletive]. I love him."

Jones said he hired Parcells as coach to help get a new stadium.

"They were on my [back] so bad," Jones said. "Jerry's got to have a yes man. So to get this [expletive] stadium, I need to bring his [expletive] in."

Jones acknowledged that line of thinking could make a team select Tebow in next week's draft. Jones said the Cowboys would not take Tebow because "he'd never get on the field."

Rich Dalrymple, the Cowboys' director of public relations, said the club had no comment. Parcells, who resigned after the 2006 season, could not be reached for comment, but he has described his relationship with Jones as friendly.

Jones could run afoul of NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. The commissioner has used the wide-ranging personal-conduct policy to police the behavior of NFL employees.

"As an employee of the NFL or a member club, you are held to a higher standard," Goodell said when the beefed-up policy was announced.

Greg Aiello, the NFL's senior vice president of public relations, said the league was not aware of the Jones video.

This episode reflects very poorly on Jerry Jones and, by association, and the Cowboys organization.

I'm very troubled by his Parcells comments. They suggest that money and certain aspects of image are more important to him than winning.

He got mouthy, and revealed nothing more than he has an ego. He should have an ego.

He didn't blast Parcells though the media and you will think so, the stadium stuff was honest, but I also think ego played a role there. Jerry knows Bill built that stadium as much as he did. So what. Jerry was cocky about jimmy too. So what, we knew Jerry had an ego and got mouthy when he got to drinking.
