Interesting statement just now: "There is not an immediate impact receiver [at 22 or 28]."
tomson75;2044393 said:Yep...and 2 months ago, not a single one of them had him going in the 1st round.
These guys are piggy backing each other so hard, Alberts going to have to put all of them on his christmas card list.

The thing that is frustrating about this draft (unless Jerry has played his hand really, really well) is that Dallas has a giant blue and white neon sign hanging over the city that says "We will draft a corner if one of the top guys is there in the first round!" .

For a team looking for an OT they would be making a much safer play to grab a guy like Otah, Williams or Clady. If a team needs help at OT right away, why would they take someone who has played 2 games at OT? In the past 20 years, there's been one OG taken top 10 and it was at pick 10. I'll be very surprised if Albert breaks the trend.

I like Albert, but I'm not giving him a top 10 rating. It was hard enough for me to admit he's going in the first round.
masomenos85;2044457 said:Another player who I think will drop further than people expect is Cromartie. I think a lot of his hype has been fueled by the internet and we may think he's higher on teams boards than he really is.

at the least he'd be a significant upgrade over Kosier in the short term, and who knows he could be a potential LT or RT down the road.
hopefully that scenario wont happen...but its not the end of the world if it does...it could also be posturing for a potential trade partner with teams behind us that really like him
