you complain about Jerry not doing what he needs to make a true contender. very smart, it’s true. Jerry sucks.

then in the next breath your blaming dak for everything. Can’t have it both ways.
Please reread the post there's nothing in it about DAk

didnt compromise their future? Clearly you dont understand what they did.

next year they are in purgatory and losing at least a third of their team. Now they have to pay hurts and the window is over. They essentially have to rebuild the defense.

jerry is clueless but his comment that they went for it all and will pay the piper is spot on.

however with those picks it will reduce the timeline depending on how good they are managed.
I understand exactly what they did you are clearly in denial

They put together a roster that blew by us for the second time in 5 years and went to a super bowl all while still retaining their draft picks and having the 10th overall pick in the draft.

They did this with a new coach and a new quarterback who if I'm not mistaken has another year left on his deal.

If that's purgatory we've gone straight to hell in a push cart.

It really should be a great time as a Cowboys fan off btb 12 win seasons, we are just conditioned at this point to not at all give them the benefit of the doubt.

They are close, but there’s certain work to be done.

Are they even capable? Will they even try?

The draft alone ain’t gonna get it done and if they haven’t gotten that yet, they probably never will.
Conditioned is correct…….Im conditioned to hope for the best but expect the worse. I knew both playoff games this year and last would end in defeat with Dak playing shook…..it sucks not feel like Jerry and the team won’t do enough.

-------Real GM's like Roseman don't tell the world anything.
Did anyone even have the slightest inclination that AJ Brown would be an Eagle on draft night?
Nope.
What does our FO do? Tells the NFL world Cooper will be released if he isn't traded to generate "a bidding war"

And the worst seems to get worse every year you think to yourself how can a 12 and 5 season be bad and then you watch the end of hours every year.

And every year we come up with a more embarrassing way to end the last game of the season and leave a bad taste in everyone's mouth no matter how good a regular season we had.

but, jerry loves you guys who go all in every year with the draft hopes and dreams. Jerry loves you. Oh, don't forget to buy the gear crap while it last. Don't let another dreamer get the gear you need and want. Hurry now. Jerry needs a new bottle of liquor.

What purpose does it serve to get excited over the season bench race all the scenarios debate all the things we should or could do only to know how it's all going to end every year because our owner and general manager by design has created a situation where we are destined to only go but so far.

He continually puts the brakes on team building at the draft. Whatever we draft is what we got then we will dumpster dive for things that appear like really good deals while other teams especially our division rival shoot for players that can really make a difference and get them over the top
.
This leaves us undermand and in a scenario where we are designed to have the last play of the year be the most embarrassing.
At this point I'm really not sure what's more frustrating watching this play at every year or having no control to stop it

Why does it always take us 10 times longer to figure out what doesn't work then teams that actually contend for a championship.
How many years of eight and eight did we have to have with Jason Garrett before Jerry finally gave up on him as a coach.

How many years do we have to embarrass ourselves in the playoffs before we finally realize that we have to do a better job in free agency to compete.

I think we had at least three eight and eight seasons maybe a 9 and 7 with Garrett.

I mean do we have to have another unprecedented embarrassing play to end our season this coming year to make it three in a row before Jerry finally concedes that maybe enough is enough.

This was once a proud franchise the absolute class of the industry and now no matter what our regular season record is we are the laughing stock of the league at the end of the season with Jerry as our general manager

We let arguably our best receiver go for a ham sandwich and our division rival signs an elite receiver that helps catapult them past us giving them home field advantage in the playoffs helping them get to the championship game while we go undermand and suffer another playoff embarrassment

Blew by us? Lol

They weren’t that much better. They had a cake walk playoff schedule. Who did they beat? Giants? SF with qb injured first quarter?

And they definitely sold out to get there. They will lose 1/3 of starters with no money to replace them.

Jerry is correct oddly. They gambled and lost and will now have to pay the piper.

They might as well be an 0-17 team in the long run. We aren't close because you need an elite QB unless you can somehow be an outlier and win one of the very rare times with a bus driver. That isn't likely to happen with our lack of proper management.

The Eagles have 6 draft picks. The Cowboys have 9 draft picks.

Yes they blew by us they were a wild card team The year before and we won the division.

They made moves bolstered their roster and along with the Chiefs had the best record in football and a first round bye with home field advantage.

We chose to dumpster dive and not be aggressive in free agency to help ourselves get over the hump.

Yes try and drag yourself out of denial and understand they went to the super bowl we managed to win a playoff game

They got further than we did and had an opportunity to win a super bowl while we continue to struggle to just win a playoff game

The Eagles have 6 draft picks. The Cowboys have 9 draft picks.
Unfortunately three of ours are in the fifth round and two of the eagles are in the first round with them having the 10th overall pick.

12 win seasons dont mean as much as it used to.
look at Minn, great in season, but one and done at home , giants take them out.

This past season was a golden opportunity for jerry and his toy, the cowboys.
They only had 2 teams to beat,
1.SF
2.Phil
SF was beatable, esp is dallas had added few FA to help them be better
PHil they would need the FA just to compete and have a chance at beating them, but if they had got some good ones in right positions,
Dallas could have been in SB. But jerry doesnt want to go all in lol, and this was the year to do it, it was obvious early on this was a weak nfc year.
Then the only problem would be beating KC and mahomes, and they were a determined bunch.
So even if dallas had got there beating KC would have been tough with our coaches.

that is the other thing, the coaches jerry hires tend to hold the team back, not help them.
the cowboy players have to overcome inferior coaching to win games and esp big games, and that is hard to do.
Pretty darn accurate.

Dallas will be fine. Unfortunately for Philly is that they have 20 free agents.

Nevermind the niners and Eagles. They had to beat the Packers and the Jaguars and would've been looking at the #1 seed. Instead they choked it away.
