Speculation of course, but Jets probably thought Browns would go RB in first and QB in 4th pick. So Jets jumped in hopes of getting the first QB. Mayfield or Allen as you said.

I think its more about this year with those guys. Kicking the tires on Bridgewater and stability with McCown. I think Bridgewater can play in this league........but you have to make this move if its a qb. No way they aren't drafting qb trading all of that. They better pray Bridgewater is good enough and plays well so they can get some of these picks back at a later time.

I would rather Barkley go to the Giants than have Buffalo trade up and give a ton of picks to the Giants. Looking at the draft pick value chart for 2018, the Giants #2 pick in the draft is worth 2600 points. Buffalo's #12, #22, #53, and #56 picks are worth 2630 points. The Giants would have picks #12, #22, #34, #53, #56, #66, #102, #139. That is 6 picks in the Top 66 picks.

My gut says its Allen they want,not Mayfield. Mayfield has been pounding the table for the Browns to nab him...and I think they LOVE HIM. Allen makes a ton of sense. Think about it...he is raw,comes from a small program..but has the size,skillset and rocket arm...just needs time to hone all that. What better place to go than the Jets who have MCcown and Teddy? He can sit for a year or 2 and get better...get coached up etc. I like the fit.Mayfield will want to start,period...so that's why the Browns just make sense..Tyrod will have a camp battle on his hands.Thoughts?

Bridgewater is fine. Hasnt played in a while though.

If the jets and giants both get QB's at 2 and 3 at the draft in Dallas that is going to be pretty wild. Maybe the jets like barkley though?

Don't worry..I think Darnolds release and technique doesn't translate well at the pro level...its Kerry Collins-like...not that he will be a bust,but the last thing we should be concerned about is Darnold going to the Giants. He's not that great honestly.
